I grew up with Legacy of Kain. Blood Omen and Soul Reaver for the PS1 were hugely formative to my tastes growing up. I've played all five games in the franchise over and over again, always engrossed by the Shakespearean tragedy of its plot; such a tightly-knit storyline whose plotholes are only as such due to the abrupt end of the franchise, barring the ill-fated Nosgoth.
25 years of playing these games to death. And it took seeing the achievements to realise you could use the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ puzzle blocks to kill stunned vampires.
It's beyond gratifying to know there are fresh eyes on LoK. Blood Omen finally got a modern PC port, BO2 and Defiance are on Steam, and with this remaster, Soul Reaver 1 is given a new PC port - completely rendering the old port obselete.
Thanks Aspyr. Now remaster Blood Omen 2 and Defiance. No pressure.
P.S. Fix the texture bug in the Air Forge in Soul Reaver 2 pls <3
