Ignore all the reviews from launch day. The game was initially released partially completed with the feature rich promises left unfulfilled.

However, since then, a year ago, there have been two major content updates (with a 3rd due this week) that has fixed the terrain issues, added base building, space freighters, new technologies, additional veichles and a whole host of graphics tweaks and additional options. There's even survival mode and permadeath for the insane sadists

I've sunk well over 60hrs in the original release and loved it even for its flaws. A further 70hrs since the patches and I plan to play the same again at least.

Nothing beats the "wow" factor of landing on a planet no one else has found and seeing the stunning visas spread out below.

One of the most promising Alpha games I have played / seen - With only a tiny bit of content, I have already racked up over 27hrs of game play... that hopefully speaks for itself on how much fun this game is..

You get the occasional server where all the "experienced" players kill you on site... but that adds to the fun.... respawn, rebuild and then raid them while they sleep... or die again and have to repeat the rebuild

(Dying happens, if you are attached to your stuff, this game isnt for you)

1800hrs later the review stands. The game had made changes to be a lot "easier" and less grindy which has its perks and downsides.. still one of the best games available.

Note. This is a hard, uncaring game. A lot of people are toxic and it can get you down. Be prepared.
