This game needs another 12 years in the oven,

The animations and environments are from 2004.
The voice "acting" is poor
The looting system... yikes. Dated. Clunky.
Quests - interesting. Nice premise. Terrible UI
The tutorial. Just kidna gives up after a bit? Or did I get lost? Dunno but night time, trader locked up, zombies everywhere.. interesting experience...

Silly, fun, nice music. Good distraction from stresses of modern games

Distracted me for a good 10 mins. Nice seeing some of the easter eggs pop

Man was cat 69/100 the hardest to find right at the end (nice)

I .. I didnt expect to like a COD game again... but ya know what... this is fun!

A good variety of game modes - the big open maps in some of them are super fun. Big change from the tight claustraphobic maps of the past
Slowed down gameplay (not as many jump/slide exploits in movement...
Its no CSGO for tactics.. but as point and clicks go... fun as hell

Whilst EA and missing some critical animations / sounds / polish this is a fun survival / advancing tech sim with a lot of promise.

The map is simple to explore and navigate - resources are abundant (however scatted over the floor very "un-naturally" - hopefully later versions of game will fix this.,

The tech tree is simple but deep (multiple better versions of each item come out.

Its fun to see the world change around you and hope the game devs polish the game up a lot. Will be a firm favourite

A sad day after 17years of waiting

None of the humour. None of the charm.. none of the content!

What is this abomination. It feels like a free to play mobile game that has been launched as a full game.

No depth to game play, no scheming, no customisation (bar lair design) .. its just something to pick up, click a few "start missions" then wait...

The research mechanic is a research tree that is full exposed from the start - no mystery
The enemies arrive in "waves" every few minutes - irrespective of any real game play impact
The missions are rpeatable generic click and forget ones
The "cutscenes/evil genius" scenes are just... awkward.. jarring and odd.

I think they spent all the budget on Brian Blessed.. playing a Russian ???

Baring in mind this is early access the game is a ... average.. colony management sim. It has promise.. but does need a lot of work currently. Simple QoL / content is missing that makes the game frustrating to play. Bugs and balance issues do exist... and some are quite game breaking (fixable by saving then reloading usually)

Tutorial is lacking to say the least and you are pretty much left to work it out yourself, dont get this game if you are after casual / easy (until its complete and things are refined)

Beautiful game, simple mechanics with layered levels of complexity.
If you like design / planning / building / simming this is a great game.

Update 4 review - Added a tonne more complexity, parts and game time.
Update 5 - Added a tonne of customisation / ways to pretty up the factory

V1.0 - Great end game, kight touch story, loads of new complex parts. Simplified some recipes, cleaned up visuals, better multiplayer.. games got it all. Buy it.

A loving and great remaster. The game is as good as it was back in 1995 and the new graphics / HD video and sound are excellent.

Some artifcating in videos and some super janky AI as expected.. but still so good.

Welcome back Commander

A shame that after so many years of knowing what makes a good game, we are given BL3 in this state. It is a dumbed down, watery attempt at capturing what was great about BL2.

Gameplay is repetitive, boring and a bit "meh". Run around, Firing away until everything is dead in each arena, loot, repeat. The game has taken all challenge of finding the secrets away and gives you hulking great map markers right to everything soo.. enjoy the sense of achievement of following a glowing marker to your quest.

I think the fact in the options menu the game says "Best enjoyed with friends" sums it up. They know they have give n you a colourful arena with little substance.. its up to your and your mates to make it "special". It might work. Maybe.

Alpha - Buggy, laggy, but expected, good game aside from all the issues and an adrenaline pumping end game

Release : As above, but with no improvements beyond saying its "done" and naming the patch 1.0.
Servers are practically unplayable due to the massive amounts of lag which is inexcusable after a 10 month "test" phase really.
