Alrighty, I know this review will probably get lost in the section but for those of you who find it:

I really enjoyed this game. There is a lot of hype around it and I think to save yourself from getting cyberpunk'd (being overhyped to the point where nothing will ever meet your expectations), try not to go into it thinking it'll be the one of the best games you've ever played. The game is really well done, just sit tight, play and let the experience take you through the story.

I would suggest starting off with the one of the middle difficulty settings so you get used to the combat style and then quickly change to Death March. Although it sounds menacing, it makes you think more about how to tackle each fight. Much more entertaining. (Once I started, i only swapped off to fight the toad because its broken imo)

As for an RPG game, I have played quite a few (although I have not played Skyrim, being considered the best of them all), but personally this has been my favourite.

The map is very large and there is a lot of content to work through. Albeit, the start may be considered slow but it picks up once you reach Velen and start talking to the Baron.

If you're going to get the game, I would suggest getting the DLC as well. I'm not sure if I would get the game on full price (I got it on sale when the TV series came out and it was 10 Euros), so definitely get it on sale, otherwise I would still say it's worth at full cost but keep an eye out.

I have only just finished the main story (I did hearts of stone just before the final 2 missions, leaving Blood and wine for after as I was recommended to), and after I looked up the different endings of the game and I was shocked. I believe I got one of the best endings (I think there's a top 3 and I got one of those) so I was very happy lol. All I can say is just be careful with your choices and I enjoyed just trying to put myself in Geralt's shoes.

For a game that's coming up on 6 years old I can say i'm impressed and I'm glad I got it!

Good Luck :P
