The core game is fun and there is a solid foundation to continue building on.

While the game is not perfect, it has significantly improved since original review.
Performance is better, although I think it could need a few more tweaks.
Microtransactions is the same as it used to be, but they have added crafting and improved upon vendor availability. And resources are shared now between characters.

However, I can not recommend it due to poor performance, FOMO and MTX shenanigans, some lacking QoL, and lacking features.

*Poor performance. I can run it reasonably well, but with a 3080 I'd expect to play it at higher settings at 60 fps at least. Add in that it frequently CTDs at the beginning of a mission. A part of me wonders if they did not bother with optimization and instead thinking DLSS/FSR could brute force any performance issues.

*FOMO & MTX: Oh boy. There is a cash shop, but no crafting. Cash shop has items available that are either "buy now or lose forever" or most likely, on a rotation. Unlike Vermintide 2 (VT2) you can not buy any MTX directly with money, you have to buy Aquila premium currency which of course is in packs that are either less or more than what the items cost, leaving you with spare currency, or having to buy extra.
On a sidenote, there is no private lobby as there was in VT2, instead it is filled with random players. Tinfoil hat says this is to entice players to buy cosmetics, if they see other players with store-bought cosmetics.
Another tinfoil hat theory is that since there are 5 character slots, but only 4 characters, future subclasses will require character slots...which will be monetized.

*Unlike VT2, the resources between characters is not shared and neither are weapons (where applicable).
*No crafting system similar to VT2 either so you have to rely on a hourly-changing selection of random weapons and curios from the Peddler.
*Weekly contracts are not account-shared and are currently BROKEN.
*Other minor QoL features.

All in all the game is fun, but there is just so much around the core gameplay that is meh or predatory. If you enjoy 40K then it can be easier to ignore the other issues, as if this was not a 40K game, I'd most likely not buy it at launch.

If there was a Meh option I'd go for that.
The game is enjoyable, particularly the quests. The main reason I am playing it, is due to Elder Scrolls name and that in most cases it actually feels like they have tried to fit an MMORPG to the Elder Scrolls setting.

But there are things that definitely drag it down.
*Seasons of lootboxes
*Wet noodle combat
*Too high Crown prices
*Inane expansion prices and pricing, cheaper to buy base game again with latest expansion(s) instead of DLC separately (should be parity).
*FOMO shenanigans.

I have bought the expanions and some crowns, but I bought the Elsweyr expansion for 15 € or so and that was Digital Collector's Edition, and later I bought some crowns when it was discounted. Otherwise, I would not have purchased. I can also ignore the FOMO stuff.

Having played this for two hours, I'll echo some other user reviews here.

Poorly optimized game, long loading times (GTA V loads quicker) and maybe I'm remembering wrong, but should the controls be this bad!? Traction and turning is absolute crap, and it feels like you are driving on ice all the time, as I'm constantly spinning.

Wait until they optimize the game and hopefully make the driving itself better too.

Very good RPG which does a damn good job immersing you in the Shadowrun setting. Interesting story as well. Definitely a better game than Returns, and being a Kickstarter backer the money spent has been very well worth it.

You get immersed in the story, your nuyen (credits) aren't infinite and you have to carefully upgrade your skills. Spreading your karma (skill points) too wide can gimp your character and it is heavily recommended to focus on 1-2 "combat groups". Combining decking with rifles is doable, but if you also spend points elsewhere you might not get the abilities and hit percentages needed for later. It is thus best to basically focus on two main attributes (Strength, Quickness, Willpower, Intelligence, Charisma) and a subset of combat skills of attribute chosen. One big minus in my opinion though is that Charisma attribute is very useful as high Charisma unlocks some powerful persuasion options throughout the game. While you can easily play without spending points in Charisma, I felt that higher Charisma would have made my playthrough much more enjoyable.

Combat is nice and simple, but it has some flaws. First is that at times you have no idea if an enemy is within line of sight and I often place a character in a position where he logically should have a line of sight, yet he is not which can screw up your tactics. A visual aid of some kind would have been nice. Second, you should be able to enter turn-based/combat mode yourself, as a few times I have managed to sneak up on an enemy and other times you know there are enemies around the corner or behind the door (like after hacking security cameras, revealing their presence). Getting my team in position that way would have been pretty good.

Looting. When you pick up items during runs, you can only add them to your own inventory or send to your stash. An option to give some items to your fellow runners would have been welcome.

Dialogue is for the most part good, with numerous dialogue choices and options. Depending on what skills you have, you can get extra dialogue options too, like higher Biotech can give insight into medical info, whereas Strength can be used to intimidate or Charisma to charm. Charisma also gives etiquette perks which unlocks extra dialogue for certain categories like Shadowrunner, Street, Gangs etc. There are a few dialogue choices where you can use fellow party members to do a task, but too few. You should have been able to use party members' skills in dialogue too if your own character is not able to, like using shaman to resolve magic-related dialogue options if required skills are there.

The missions themselves are pretty good and you usually have different ways to do them. How you do them will not change the story progression, but will have an effect on what rewards you get and how your party members react.

Overall, the game is fun and challenging and the choices you make have some consequences but not gamechanging though. If turn-based RPGs with thought-out dialogue and stories is your thing, Dragonfall is heartily recommended.

A very good sandbox FPS, although with some detracting elements in my personal opinion. The islands are pretty damn well made and there has been time and effort spent in building a believable backstory, history and culture for the Rook Islands.
The game running and shooting mechanics are also pretty good, where you won't instantly shoot if you are running and switching between weapons feels believable, along with the sliding mechanics which are worth a mention. There are also a nice amount of weapons to choose and unlock from. The enemies are also nice and varied and can pose a challenge if you stay exposed too much.
The story itself is not bad, but maybe it is me, I just felt I expected what would happen before they happened and found most story elements too predictable. Another thing which actually ended up bugging me is that throughout my game session I probably killed enough tigers to have reduced the overall worldwide tiger population by a wide percentage margin. Tigers, leopards and bears you encounter should in my opinion have been more rarer. And bull-sharks are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I happily rammed them with my jet skis whenever I could.
I also feel the Skills system was very redundant in many places, with abilities that were hardly useful, but also some which should have been unlockable earlier (You unlock your skills three times throughout the story, having one set of skills available in beginning, another set further in and then last set of skills a good way into the game).

I would still recommend the game, as it is quite fun and if you spot it at bargain price, get it. I would advice though that while it is Steam, it will start up Uplay, but not been that much a hassle really.

A very enjoyable open world action game. One of my absolute favourite mechanics of the game is the easy interchangeability between keyboard+mouse and gamepad which is damn handy for a person who has not played shooters on console all that much. I used my X360 gamepad for the driving and martial arts parts of the game and switched to keyboard+mouse for the shooting parts. It is also surprising how easy one gets used to driving on the left (wrong side!) of the road.

The story itself isn't spectacular, but is it entertaining and I'd personally say does an admirable job at telling an undercover police story. The voice acting is also very good and surprisingly there are a good number of famous people lending their voice.

This game though has VERY many DLCs. Some of them though are free, but others are mainly cosmetic where they add some outfits or vehicles or weapons. There are also others like the Police Protection Pack which just added a single mission and that was it, although later made the stuff in that mission available in the rest of the game. You also have two content DLC which add a few hours of gameplay with missions tied to Halloween (Nightmare at North Point) and Chinese New Year (Year of the Snake). There is also the SWAT pack, where you do random police missions disguised as a SWAT member. These DLC are entirely optional so might be worth picking up at a discount.

It's damn silly game, but damn good. The superpowers are fun to use and the story is quite good to be a not so serious game. Voiceacting is superb and the humor is mostly spot on. Love the Mass Effect jabs.
It is basically Saints Row 3 with superpowers and you can see it started out as a DLC expansion to Saints Row 3, still it does not hinder the game itself. I will say keyboard + mouse combo works well, but feel some of the minigames would be much better to play with a gamepad, notably the Speed Rift. I will also say that I hoped there would be a bit more gameplay with your character as the President. But all in all, the game is damn fun, the superpowers work very well and the weapons are fun to use.

Very good game. Interesting story, nice combat and "magic" system. Although was not as much skyline riding as I'd expect and feel the game could have needed some more combat in the "open". Elizabeth the girl who follows you around most of the game is also very well made, as it she is not in the way and will periodically throw you health, salts (think of it as mana) and ammo when you get low, although don't mistake for it being a no-death mechanic. The voice acting is also superb.

Decent Halloween DLC for the price. Spent 4 hours playing it and doing all achievements. Story was on the side of good, with some humurous moments. Wish they could have added a "Halloween radio station" to have more fitting music when driving, since you can't turn off the radios.

All in all, not a bad buy, but does not affect main story at all, only adding a hat item when finishing the story.
