A review of: Ultrakill

Oh Ultrakill, where to start...

First, at the time of writing this (Early access) the third layer isn't available yet so I can't know anything about that part yet
But damn.
Ultrakill is a GREAT game
I feel like great is a bit of an understatement.
The movement, the characters, the voicelines, the weapons... everything is so incredibly polished. It just feels right.
Ultrakill is a (very)fast-paced game with a nice scoring system for speed, kills and style. if you get an S in these 3 you'll perfect a level.
I'm writing this review after i went back to perfect all levels so i could begin my fight with Flesh Prison and Minos Prime .
This game can either be played semi-chill with less intense movement on the easier difficulties and full on hardcore on the higher difficulties.
It even comes with a sandbox map where you can spawn enemies and power-ups.
Oh btw, Weapon chaining? Yeah gimme all of that.
You have a revolver, you have coins. You shoot coins and they'll ricochet towards enemies.
now... You have a railgun. shoot coins with railgun and you'll get absolute carnage. Oh yeah, you can also parry your own shotgun shots and enemy projectiles.
The progression in this game is absolutely wonderful.
And just, JUST when you think you mastered something. You'll get a new enemy that completely destroys you.
Don't underestimate how many tries it's going to take to get some of the bosses. *cough cough* MINOS PRIME

Well to keep it short...
Ultrakill is a great game for it's price, it has a wave survival gamemode so you won't get bored after you finished it, and a lot of secrets (still haven't found them all).
If you're doubting if you're going to like it. Don't you will. (Unless your main game style is something like stardew valley and the sims, but who knows?)
