What's the point of releasing this? Game looks like it has vaseline smeared all over it.
The Anomaly mod not only looks better, but also runs better than this, and that thing is a decade old at this point.

I won't go into the dev process, nor any drama or anything like that.
What's been a real issue for years now, are the full servers.
You buy the game, then spend an hour in a queue, because every single server is at 100/100.
Finally! 1/40! "Connecting", Crash or an error.
Back to the end of the queue with you! Good luck, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!

When it works, it works. Sadly it usually doesn't; and I wouldn't even be surprised if some people went over the steam refund timer before ever getting the chance to join a server.

Game has many many many more issues, but they should probably focus on adding more official servers, so people who buy the thing can at least play.

Technological nightmare. Game runs at 400 fps, there's no fps limiter, vsync only "works" in fullscreen, which also ignores the resolution set and runs at like 900p and 50Hz, instead of 1080@75.
Your password has to be less than 12 characters or you can't log in. The launcher restarted and looped the same thing for 30 minutes for me.
I'm sure it's great, but spending an hour trying to play this isn't exactly the best first impression.
Although it's an old game, they still decided to "re-release" it and did so in a state like this.

Small update, deleting your account requires you to file a support ticket by filling just about 30 different things including your current IP address.

Never installing this again.

As a Hello Kitty Online player, I don't think I'm the target demographic for this game.

What the game does great:
- VR support
- Triple monitor support
- FFB
- Physics

Things, which I'm sure will be fixed/added in the future:
- AI engine sounds stack, so a race start sounds like 4 Boeings starting at the same time.
- There aren't many tracks.
- Everything in menus has missing icons.
- You can select "Dry" track, but it's sort of a pointless option, as there's no "wet" or rain yet.
- Multiplayer?? Seems to be in some sort of open beta.

I've been following this game on YouTube since the initial release, and I must say, not much has been done since.

All that been said, I genuinely can't recommend the game as of right now. Maybe if you don't mind grabbing it on sale, like right now, and letting it sit in your library for an extra couple of years.

Will update the review as development moves on.

After trying out all the workarounds, it still runs at 1/3 of the fps Horizons gives me.

Horizons - 5760x1080, 70fps in space, 60ish on planets (Some dips in an SRV)
Odyssey - 5760x1080, 40fps in space, 20fps on planets/stations (10fps with fire on screen)
- 1920x1080, 60fps in space, 22fps on planets/stations
All that with god awful input lag.
There's a reddit post profiling the renderer and it's such a mess.

It's such a shame because this expansion adds so much immersion to the game. I believe FD will eventually fix this, but as of right now, I really can't recommend a game that's essentially unplayable.

Please add a damn fov slider. The default 20 fov really makes me want to puke.

Game is 12 years older than the PS2 TT title.
The only difference is the graphics.
Terrible physics and controls. Car simracing at least has wheels and all the accessories.

A very solid foundation.
