The MTX are being blown way out of proportion by people who have no idea what they're talking about. Port Crystals do not give you fast travel. They give you a fast travel point that you can plop down anywhere you want. You then need to use a Ferrystone, which is a consumable that is NOT sold as DLC, to teleport to them. You will find Portcrystals in-game.
They are NOT selling a new character slot. Just like the first game, you can only have a single character at a time. What they are selling is an appearance change, which you can buy in-game for 500 rift crystals, which is incredibly cheap.
The weapons for buying the deluxe edition will be replaced in about an hour of game time.
The optimization could definitely use some work though.
Overall, it is very good. People who enjoyed the first game will also really enjoy this one.

We have 10 different braids, 5 different afros, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Killmonger hair from Black Panther, 6 different styles of twintails, 4 variations of Karen hair... And yet somehow not a single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ponytail. Also the colour selection for hair is absolute garbage. Please, for the love of god, add a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ponytail. Just a normal ponytail.

The game is still extremely buggy as of May 25th, 2024.
A DLC has just been announced, it's part of the season pass. The season pass is included in the Voidfarer Edition of the game. It is not included in the Collector's Edition of the game, which includes everything ELSE the Voidfarer Edition has. I asked in the Discord about this and was told that the reason for this is that the DLC and Season Pass weren't even planned when they started selling the Collector's Edition (which is a bold faced lie and everybody knows it) so it wasn't included in older packs of the game and I guess it's impossible to retroactively add rewards.
This is the last straw for me with Owlcat. They've lost a customer. I won't even pirate their games now.
Editing to add that a staff member tacked on to the explanation later that they will not be retroactively adding the season pass to CE owners because they "don't have the budget"

The only thing not amazing about this game is that 5e is such a boring system.

I do recommend this game, but only if you can get it at a 100% discount from certain alternative sources. Respawn and EA don't deserve your money for this one.
It's so sad that when the next patch rolls out, 2 months after release, and fixes some of the issues people have, everybody is going to forgive and change their reviews to positive. This behaviour just reinforces the publishers' belief that they can release half finished games because they want your money now so they can look good on their quarterly reports, then just patch the unplayably buggy, broken mess when they get around to it. The game industry is in the toilet and it's only going to get worse from here. People are already defending this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I read a comment on somebody's negative review about how it's okay for people to be angry and upset when a game performs like this game does, but not on day 1 of release. When did we get to a point where we don't expect games to be properly finished and playable on their release date?
I think it's time to find myself a new hobby.

Edit: I upgraded to an i9 13900k a couple days ago. The game runs smooth as butter now, but I shouldn't have had to upgrade to one of the most expensive CPUs on the market in order to play this game when every other modern game was running fine on my old CPU. I will be completing this game, but only because I bought it and I can't refund it, so I may as well. I still do not recommend.

The game runs well past the initial shader building stage. People having crashing problems probably didn't wait for the shaders to build before starting. I don't know what else to say, it maybe has higher system requirements than it should, but it looks great and I can run everything on ultra at a pretty stable framerate with an RTX 3080. It's The Last of Us on PC, should be enough said.

I thought this game was pretty okay at best, didn't really have a lot of interest in finishing it, but because of the harassment campaign against Pikamee, I will be finishing this game and recommending it to everybody I know.

You can't play Axis and Allies on the same team. My friend wants to play England and I want to play Afrika Korps, but we can't play multiplayer together unless one of us plays a faction we don't want to play. I likely won't play this very much as a result. It's a shame because I quite like the game aside from that. Hopefully this gets patched. If it does, my review will change to positive. If it doesn't, I don't see myself continuing to play this. I know this was a thing in previous titles as well, it just really annoys me to no end. Please for the love of god change this. I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about immersion or realism when I'm playing a competitive multiplayer match. All this serves to do is fracture the community and make it harder to find matches. I am aware that we can play together in a custom match, but comp stomps are only fun for so long.

I love this game. But then things happen that make me realize how terrible it is. Why can't I pick which mission I want to do? Even Payday 2 had an option to pay money to generate whatever mission you wanted if the mission wasn't on the board. Why are scriptures and grimoires limited to only certain missions? Why are there weeklies to do secondary objectives (which are only get tomes and grimoires right now) on specific maps, but then you just can't do those weeklies because your specific map that the weekly wants you to do secondary missions on doesn't spawn, or if it does, it doesn't spawn with a secondary mission attached to it? Why can scripts and grims spawn inside other objects in the world? Why can you frequently not even pick them up? Why is it impossible to find a group that even wants to find them? Why do Autoguns suck so much ass? Why can enemies clip through walls? Why do enemies make no sounds when they're approaching you from behind? Why does trying to get challenges done make the game feel like I'm playing PvP?
There's so much to love, but so much in this game that is downright frustrating.

TLDR: Please Fatshark, PLEASE, just put tomes and grimoires on every mission or remove the stupid weeklies to do secondaries on specific maps. Or better yet, just let me pay dockets to pick which mission I want to do.
