Just like every year PC gets flooded with cheaters after few first big discounts hit

The game is okay. It's trying to get the energy of S.W.A.T 4 with a bit of Siege spice but it ends up doing neither. Feels quite cheap and unfinished. The shooting doesn't feel good. I just felt like going to back Swat whilst playing this.

The worst issue
was the horrible desync. We would have entire levels where we would have different enemies with a friend. One round we both got killed by an invisible enemy. Just not an enjoyable game at this state.

Never actually rains

Like if you take Civ 5 but made it very small scale and very slow. You get this. Not fun.

Wont go thru jump ball everytime we tried. No error message. Horrible.

I am not much of a singleplayer games guy myself but I just completed this game for the third time and thought like leaving a review, even if this game came out years and years ago.

Graphics
The graphics are still prety good even for 2017 which isnt that big of a deal but what surprises me is how good it ran on my crappy laptop running no GPU and an old AMD A6 processor.

Gameplay
The open world isnt the best out there and never was. It feels empty and quite sad with nothing much to do besides robbing a few stores but that doesnt matter because the story the game presents is incredible and sucks you right in. Even if you like just going in and shooting (which theres loads of) you will still be tempted to not skip those cutscenes and just watch everything. Most characters arent too interesting or memorisible but the game makes sure you remember the ones you actually need to remember. The story does kind of derails a bit into some stupid things with an ending that doesnt really end everything and still leaves some space for a direct sequel which we probably wont see. The story includes loads of driving and shooting, a bit of stealth but the stealth aint too good so its no big deal they left it out. The driving and the shooting on the other hand are amazing. Driving cars feel nice, heavy and responsible, going too fast will probably end up killing you but you will sure as hell have loads of fun doing that, every car steers differently so youre always keeping your head up looking for the one that looks best and as the game goes youre introduced to more and more cars which keps it more interesting. I would probably compare it to GTA IV driving but it is more grippy, heavier and more responsive, you always know what your car is going to do. The shooting is satisfying and not too easy which keeps you on your toes as the enemies try to flank you and come from everywhere so that also makes you keep an eye out for how much ammo you still have. The game doesnt rush with giving you the best automatic guns either so getting there feels just that much better.

The game is great and quite lenghty for what you pay (esspecialy now) and I would probably go as far as calling it a classic and a must play as it one of the best 2k games ever made and it is sad to see how bad mafia 3 was and how much the quality of 2k games went.

I know this review isnt really needed all the way in 2017 but I tought id leave it as my love for the game grows every time I play it.

Really great game to have fun with friends. The engine is quite old, but the opportunities are endless and can give you hundreds and thousands of hours of fun.
