Truly neutral game.

I have to give new Dangan credit, making everything in the rainy city with some chill music feels great and exploring creates great vibes. Time just flies by even with simple side quests in proper atmosphere. Making all mini games in some weird Persona style dungeons is also a flashy way to pump up adrenaline. So far soo good even though MC is total wimp.

Major points are missing and these are results of investigations. You create murder mystery with stiff non dimensional culprits? I cannot accept this. Neither victim side is explored enough to make it good. I just don't care and that's the worst thing detective can say about any case. Without proper emotions and backstories to all sides. Culprits demasking doesn't feel good anymore. It's crazy that surprisingly the most flashy and technical elements of the game creates the least climatic results. This is step back from previous games.

To sum it up I dont think Rain Code is a bad game, but it lost crazy spark along the way. Lack of personal investment. The best part after finishing it was my leisure walks around the city. Everything was solved as I suspected before even entering Mystery Labirynths. Solving something that you almost already solved, is just waste of time and the same can be said about whole grande finale.

PS: Shinigami is the best thou! <3
