Early Access Review
Best modern vampire themed game I've played. Developers have gone above and beyond. Easily worth twice the price of the full game. Can get hours of fun out of this playing solo, on a server or with friends.

Tip: a lot of negative reviews complain about grind, when you create your own hosted world you have FULL control over exactly how much grind and difficulty you would like in your hosted solo or multiplayer world via a bunch of number sliders (you can even edit the world settings .txt file for even more control, but I don't know why you would need that). If you are going to complain about something in the game just don't be one of those clowns complaining about grind or difficulty... this game has tons of value no matter how you want to experience it.

Game is relaxing with a solid game play loop, but feels incomplete. Not sure why it went out of early access. Non of the upcoming features have been implemented and they were mentioned long before I bought the game (and after a bit of research upon returning to this store page to see if there have been any updates it looks like they were mentioned a few years ago). As it stands I wouldn't;t recommend it for the price, get this on a summer sale or something if you are bored looking for a chill game. I think it is safe to assume that any further development has pretty much been abandoned so what you currently see is what you get. A pity as there is definitely a lot more that can be added and the the game has a lot more potential.

This game will probably go down, to me, as a cautionary tale of the risk of buying an early access game when it comes to getting a fully developed completed game that was promised. As an early access player you invest your money into a small developer with the trust and hope that they invest that back into the game and you get what is promised, however sometimes that doesn't work out and it is easy for a developer to lose motivation and to take the money before doing the work and run. Putting out a half finished game that has received no updates and only one minor bug fix in what appears to be several years of early access. So be careful where you put your money when buying early access as it is very much a exercise of trust in the developer to actually deliver. Check all the change logs, frequency of patches and developer updates before purchasing any early access game, don't just believe a road map and a pretty blurb of promised updates and content.

Early Access Review
I first got this game on a whim when it first came to steam and it was great; fun, innovative, unique, challenging and rewarding.

I stopped playing after there was an update that killed the progression system (which had nothing wrong with it before, why fix what isn't broken?). I decided to come back recently to see how the game had changed and I have to say the game is nothing like it was before and has been completely ruined; punishing reward sytem, unique building has been made redundant, no team work or strategy and still a terrible progression system and matchmaking system.

A quick scan of forums a reviews made it apparent that the devs were not listening to anything the community was saying and update after update continued to ruin what was once a great game that I would've recommended to anyone.
They used to have a great game with the potential to be even better, but as the game is now I just can't recommend you invest any time into it.

If I could offer any advice to Freejam, I would say that they scrap the updates, revert the game back to early alpha and start again.

Good, can be a bit of a grind, but the fun pace of the game doesn't make it feel like one. Still in beta and the development shows plenty potential with recent updates and it's free so what's to lose.
