Born to be penguin, forced to be human

Tučňák kroužkový (Pygoscelis adeliae) je středně velký zástupce čeledi tučňákovitých. Délka jeho těla zpravidla nepřesahuje 70 cm. Hmotnost je závislá na ročním období – pokud nehladoví, dosahuje váhy až 6,5 kg. Samec má totožné zbarvení jako samice, ale bývá vyšší. Celkové zbarvení je jednoduché, uniformně černo-bílé, specifickým znakem je bílé lemování ve tvaru kroužku kolem obou očí.
