Excellent experience, everything progresses at a nice and steady rate. 30 hours but could be stretched to more for sure!

Highly recommend this game, an oldie but goldie. Well polished mechanics and satisfying gameplay, story isn't the most amazing, but that's not the selling point. The hordes of infected, your godlike abilities and an overall easy going, don't have to think about it whilst playing game is the selling factor.

Also runs really well since it's an older game too, can be found cheap on sale. Wouldn't recommend first game though, this is what it should have been smoothness and polish wise. Feels clunky compared to this. DLC is meh too, wouldn't bother, just get the base game

It's what New Order should have been gameplay wise. Not a crappy console port but a proper, high quality game

Got to be said, as a massive fan of the metro series, playing both other games and listening to all 3 books, I'm disappointed. This game had a lot of potential as it is nothing like the books, and they had a clean open story to go anywhere they wanted.

The gunplay is excellent.
The gameplay is near flawless
The environments are rich and visually stunning.

My issue is there are bugger all of them. This does not feel like a AAA game when i'd say there's only about 15 hours of gameplay if you just do the story missions and another 8 or so with everything else. I was shocked when the game ended when it did. Especially after one of the men mentions heading back to Moscow to get his wife. The game ends on a hill overlooking a lake. Did we go back or just leave her?

It just felt like it was naturally meant to continue and stops hard. I would have preferred the devs just keep in in development for another 2 - 3 years and flesh the game/story out. It's just lacking in content. If you have this for free it's good. Would I pay full price for it after playing? No. Not in your wildest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dreams.

Excellent Gameplay, movement and guns have never been better and I appreciate the steamlining of other annoying aspects. Well written story if a few characters do seem somewhat written by people who don't understand what made characters like tiny tina good. Im on about the teen, can't remember her name, just that she was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying as ♥♥♥♥ and a ♥♥♥♥ for no reason

If you enjoyed the movement and shooting mechanics of farcry 3 and 4 don't bother with this, crap gunplay and movement that is just unintuative to say the least

Good Game with a very high skill ceiling with a lot of time to be put in to improve.

Not at current state worth it, repetition is far too much and the optimisation is awful, minimum specs are a gtx 480 and an i3, i'm using an i5 6400 and a gtx 960. 40 fps average on minimum settings...

Very enjoyable and £20 for the GOTY Edition is very much worth it in my opinion, and considering the modding capabilites here the replayability is near endless
