Replicant is the best game of all time.
Replicant Remastered is a direct improvement of the best game of all time.
The gameplay is a complete upgrade, and would still be a perfect game without that, just for allowing you to play Replicant without a fan translation.

This was one of my first VR games, and, despite the simple graphics, the scenes that were removed actually had a pretty profound effect. They were genuinely frightening in a way, especially for someone new to the whole idea of VR. It's pretty rare for a video game to actually affect someone on that level, making the moments really memorable.
Fug evoking any sort of emotion though, why would we want that, it might make people sad! :^(

You could even just ignore the content of the scenes removed and focus on what, to me, is the much more important part of this:
Don't remove content from the game I already paid for.

This game has a ton of really innovative and terrifying ideas in an otherwise really stale genre. Rather than relying on cheap jump scares, the game does a really great job of building suspense and tension and finding the perfect time to release it to ensure maximum pants ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The game really nails the atmosphere and the style in a way the genre has needed for a really long time. I've been supporting this game since only chapter 1 was out, and I don't regret a second of it, it's my favorite horror game in a long time.

The tools work very well, they are straight forward and easy to use. Each puzzle has been meticulously made by hand, and it is apparent to any who try them. Each is very well crafted and thoroughly enjoyable.
