Just don't understand why Windows doesn't include something like this natively. SO thank god for wall paper engine.

Fresh/Original take on shooters, Destructible Environments are just so cool and this game just gets things right.

I wish movement was less clunky, but most modern shooters seem to like to pretend you're a log rather than a human.

Titanfall 2 stands alone at incredible heights in terms of player movement... but yeah,

The Finals is very under appreciated.

Best FPS game ever made.
The only bad thing I can say, is that I'm an idiot for ignoring this game since 2016 when I had played it a few months and got distracted by other games... This game is HANDS-DOWN the best FPS I ever played.

This game deserves an audience of millions and I'm clueless as to why it doesn't have that, but the fact that after nearly a decade, there's still so much fun to be had, it still looks awesome and there's an average of 2000 players online should tell you everything.

This FPS is High Octane, High speed, adrenaline.
Personally I prefer the game modes where both Titans and Pilot play is involved, but man it all just rocks.
Having played 1500+ hours of Apex I can honestly say, I should have been playing titanfall 2 instead.

update; 520 hours in.
Still like the game, but the missions are stale. The seasonal missions are, annoying, and not fun. The world is a bit dead. This game would have been 10/10 if it had been made as an Open-World like the Division 2, and if each mission actually felt like it was a real part of an ongoing storyline/mission, rather than an arbitrary checklist to get done in order to max out your materials and resources for upgrades.

The best thing this game has going for it is still the fact that the Devs are working so extremely fast to improve things based on feedback. It almost feels as if they are trying to copy Warframe not just in the game itself, but also their approach to feedback and improving the game... problem is... it's not Warframe, and monetization is a bit ridiculous still (presets, profiles, slots.. everything needs to be bought and I maxed out my 11 descendants alreay, and my preset slots.

I wish the game felt more "Epic" like Warframe or the Division 2 does, whenever you do the missions and go through the new seasons.

Enemies feel very Generic and faceless... atleast in Division 1 and 2 and in Warframe, bosses feel like they are fully fleshed Antagonists with a story and a real Character, rather than just a silly voice taunting you.

update: So I'm now 400 hours on, and a bit further into the season, lots of great updates. The missions are doable, but I think they need to really fix some things (TOTEMS!) all in all the grind for hailey was too much, so I bought her, maybe that's what they want, but I am still enjoying myself.. we just need more KUIPER shards to drop

300 hours in.
This game should tick all my boxes.

THE GOOD:
✅ Looter, Shooter.
✅ Not woke.
✅ The Dev team has been INSANELY fast in responding to community feedback and improving things rapidly.
✅ The game plays smoothly and has great gun play and fun Arche Mechanics (skills) and feels good to play.

✅ It's got a nice system for builds (most everything is about getting more DPS, high HP and DEF, with some limited degree of diversity for Guns, snipers vs SMGs) , not nearly as good in terms of possibilities for build Diversity as for example Division 2 (Skills vs Gunplay, Defense vs Damage, sniper vs SMG etc.) but it's decent and it runs UE5, so it looks awesome and feels good.

The BAD:
❌ The world is 'dead' not only is this NOT an open world (it's instanced levels that are completely empty and dead until you activate something.) You can't even walk to your base; everything is gated by loading screens and instanced, which is cheap and easy on their server needs, but it kills any sense of 'open-world' or 'open universe to explore'.

❌ There is no exploration, and the things you need to do for gear are boring. This matters. Because being repetitive is ok, but being boring is not.

❌ It's first season is a bit disappointing. Apart from the new character Haily.
The Seasonal missions are not fun, too short, have no real spirit or character, don't feel like they fit in with the bigger story in a meaningful way, and the gimmick mechanics add nothing to the experience, other than arbitrary motions to go through.

❌ The most crucial new content 'INVASIONS' are just a mess.
It's not fun, ithe puzzles are unintuitive, and feel stupid, because nothing you do makes sense, it's connected to the campaign by a story, but it just makes no logical sense.

❌ Running through a mission having to shoot at pillars to uncover symbols... they could have maybe made it make sense, but they didn't.. which only adds to the frustration.

❌ Needlessly complex mechanics that do not add to the story... and make the 'shooter' part of this 'shooter-looter' straight up unenjoyable.

Conclusion:
I wanted to love this game, and I was ready to make it my main go-to for the next 2 years (until Divison 3 perhaps) But its extreme grindiness, its lack of real character and depth have put me off after 300 hours. No idea what I'm gonna do, but I might have to leave it here.

EDIT 3: After finishing Phantom Liberty all I can say is KUDOOS. This game is awesome, and one of the best solo RPG games I ever played, in terms of campaign experience.

It's a massive shame this game doesn't hold more Oommpffff in the endgame. I wanted to keep playing and stay engaged, but the progress systems (builds, gear) etc is just too underdeveloped to make it feel worthwhile.

I don't know exactly why, but this game just doesn't hold the endgame appeal that a game like Division 2 holds, which kept me playing for 1500 hours after finishing the original campaign...

I would have loved for Cyberpunk to be that, but it might also be personal.
Never the less, this game is amazing.

Edit 2: I've reached level 47 now. i kept playing. Doing the Crime scenes + Side jobs/gigs Got me lots of gear and cash, so I collected all cars + improved my weapons and fleshed out my skill tree.

It's kinda fun, but it's really a damn shame that there is no real purpose in it. No real missions or endgame to use it for.. so I kinda feel it's getting less and less fulfilling. The crime scenes are extremely boring as are the side jobs.

Run in.. kill all guys... loot chest... Repeat.

Spoiler alert: The Side mission with Judy (diving etc..) was really impressive and cool... it was also a real almost emotional ride to come so close to her and then have her leave... great bit of RPG there...

Wish there was more substantial endgame .. as I said before.

Edit: After about 32 hours I finished the main campaign.
I didn't rush it.. but I also didn't go slow.
I played several side missions, jobs, did some of the open world stuff...
All in all I have to admit I'm majorly disappointed.
After the initial WOW at the World, the jampacked bustle of Night City and it's amazing realism in soms ways, fades... this Game is shallow at best.

The Story line is linear..
No matter what you do, what background you pick, what conversational choices you make.. the outcome is always more or less the same. There are no Major plotpoints that suprise you, make you go "OMG WHAT?!"
Replaying it is boring, because you basically already did it...
The Side missions are boring and substance less... unless you do the once with a lot of narrative, which is just boring as ♥♥♥♥ as well.

If you expect a COOL looter Shooter with endgame progression and great RPG.. forget it.. this is purely an RPG at it's core and it's only mission is to take you on 'fake' interactive movie ride for 30 hours...

Honestly I don't understand why they took a decade to develop this. I waited for this game 9 years and it's not nearly as good as Division 1 and Division 2 which, arguably, have just as an impressive story and world, just less cinematics...

The Endgame is life less, because there is simply no objective to it. Why level if there are no missions to look forward to? no special Loot to acquire with special talents or named bosses to vanquish...

The World itself is confusing often, because there are no level designations..

All in all I am just very disappointed and that might partially be because I had the wrong expectations. I was hoping, waiting for a Division 1/2 Game genre in a Cyberpunk setting..
But that is NOT what this game is.

There will be no endgame grinding, because there is nothing to grind for.
To me it feels like a missed opportunity.

The game has these amazing skill trees and talents.. yet no reason to explore them.
There is no driver to min/max builds and get creative, because there is no real Respect option anyway...

the missions are not challenging... mechanics are severly lacking or non-existent.
I played the game at HARD and had no real challenge at any point. Except when I ran 'very hard' side missions where I got 1 or 2 shot by some enemies, which only made me revise my tactic.

WORST of all is the checkpoint / save system. Which means if you complete a whole mission and get a bunch of loot but the LAST enemy kills you... you lose ALL progress and most important ALL loot... which is frustrating to NO end.

Which is also what happens with the last piece of the game. As after finishing the game and final mission, you are reset to a checkpoint, losing ALL the loot you gathered in the final mission... WTF?!

Immersive cool world. But this game is a Performance Hog.
Running it on 3900x + 2080ti + 64GB 3600 Ram + Samsung 970 Evo + m.2 and with decent settings I see 40-100 fps.

NO idea why it took them a decade to build this game that feels at best half baked.

Sorry... I can't put it any other way.

I will leave a positive recommendation, because the game is beautiful and because 30 hours for a single player game main campaign is pretty good...
However considering most of that time is spent sitting still watching cinematics and linear conversations... perhaps it's not even that good...

I hope this helps manage espectations for players who, perhaps like me, were hoping for more Looter Shooter aspects and endgame.
