Changing this review from positive to negative as of December 30th.
A lot of small bugs here and there have grinded my enjoyment from multiple hours sessions to just playing 1 or 2 games at a time and getting frustrated by losing a few too many gunfights because of bugs, I normally finish 1st in kills and assists even when I perform poorly which leads me to think that a lot of the playerbase are either bots or glue eaters, none of whom I want to play with.
What ultimately led me changing my review though is that now getting into games takes a long time because of declining playerbase (because of a lack of bug fix and espcially the season pass I paid for in pre-ordering the gold edition!) This game has been out for a few weeks and still doesn't have a battle pass active... it's super weird.
The straw that broke the camel back though is that for the 4th time! I launched the game and all my settings are reset (keybinds, graphic options and aim sensitivity) and the game forces me to do the tutorial again. I work in the video game industry as an FQA and let me tell you that stuff like this normally doesn't fly for AAA devs, but seems like on top of everything else, Dice and EA have cut every possible corner and still sold this game at full price... then had like a 35% cut not even a month after launch, giving a big middle finger at their core fanbase.
Really sad that this experience isn't the one so many thought it was going to be.

Old Review: It certainly has it's flaws and is in no way the competitive experience I was seeking, but as casual fun it's okay, which I could give it a meh review instead of a positive one, but I sometime have fun playing that game.
I am hoping for some updates that adresses most of the balance problems and bugs.
As of November 2021, it feels like an early access release.

This game has a lot going for it, but isn't worth 80$ IMO.
I purchased this game to play solo or with randos and that experience left a sour taste in my mouth;
I can see what the game has to offer and wish I could have fun with it, but in it's current state, I just cannot... which seems to happen a lot these days.
I refunded the game after a few hours as I didn't see myself playing it further alone but will add to my wishlist to get on sale or if a group of friend gets into it.
The difficulty was also all over the place, didn't feel a single threat while playing on rookie (easy) and when I tried to step it up to veteran (medium) my squad and I got annihilated in the first chapter many times until I gave up, seems like you need a grinded account and great coordination to even go through the normal difficulty... I would understand for nightmare (hard) but having a game being this hard on medium based on needing better loot in an adventure / pve setting is a weird and unwelcomed design choice.

An amazing game to kill time. I bought it on steam and then on my Switch and whenever I don't feel like getting back into a RPG or tryharding an action game, I boot this game up (and now their next game) and just vibe until the game fatally end and a few moments past :)

So far every class feels very different to play and is a breath of fresh air for the deckbuilder genre.

Despite some graphical problem that takes little time to fix (due to less than stellar optimisation) this game is gorgeous, I normally don't play single player adventure games but this one was on my radar for a while and is a blast. The setting is amazing, combat is fun and doesn't get repetitive and the dialogue is good. Some little hitches here and there prevents it from being a 10/10 but definitely between an 8.5 and a 9.5 depending how what you are looking for in a game. This got me really interested in getting a ps5 to play the sequel!

Best Business Growing Management Game I've played, simple to learn, it doesn't task you with restarting every level, just grow as fast or slow as you wish and take over the world!

Beside the whole P2P and microtransaction thing, I personally love this game. It's a really fun game with different characters that play quite differently but are similar enough that learning or trying a new character doesn't feel jarring at first. Also, I bought the Mystic Edition and used the ingame currency to purchase the Battle Pass (that only comes out July 28th) and have a massive excess of in game money to buy skins, I bought all those I wanted and it cost me like 20% of all my currency with 5 hours playtime so the game is very very light on microtransactions (as of now). I highly recommend this game as a fun semi-competitive shooter.

Despite its look of a mid-early 2000 era flash game, the gameplay loop is actually really solid and fun, I have over 1500 games and normally play a game for no more than 2 hours and get to the next one but this one has my attention and I decided to see it through. Nice mix of turn based RPG with action element (like Paper Mario) and minigame collection. To train your character you need to do various minigame, then with that newfound power, fight baddies in a turn base, get that gold and equipment, improve your village to get even stronger and start all over again. There is side things to do aswell like taming monsters to have them as pet, build a relationships with different people (very lite on that side, don't expect a dating sim), fish and build your house. A solid 9/10 and a great title that hits that nostalgia of playing Adventure Quest through middle school!
