I think this is a great game. Visuals that call back to everyone's favorite gameboy game and an absolutely stellar OST. The puzzles are not too difficult, but with plenty to offer seasoned professionals. Enjoyed the time I spent on it and I look forward to when everything is ironed out and we finally see the complete, tight package.

Early Access Review
Considering two brothers developed this game, it's a great experience and achievement. The music is high energy from start to finish, keeping the adrenaline running for the inevitable moments where your awareness is needed for tight situations.

This game gives incentive to scope out the best times to launch a special and earn the Overdrive mode for maximum score. And with four difficulty modes on offer, there's plenty to enjoy for players of all skill levels. I am by no means a fan of shmups and have played few in my thirty year tenure as a gamer. This game, however, is a good starting point for anyone who's interest in the "bullet hell" branch of the shmup genre.

The mechanics are easy to understand and everything is spaced out well enough that you'll be eager to try again as "it's only five minutes, right???". Soon enough you'll be finding yourself reaching for the scoreboard stars.

Solid title. Have fun with it.

Great game. Unforgiving, but once you learn the ropes it becomes pretty fair to deal with.

This is a good game. While I find the gameplay rather basic and straightforward, every other aspect is top notch. The art direction is clean and has that artistry that seems to still be missing even today after eleven years. The music is beyond phenomenal. I would consider it a top 100 video game OST. The narration is on point and unique. Few games make use of narration in the way this game does. As a result, this is a stand out.

On top of all that, this game is real short. I do understand the gameplay can be a drag, but if you can manage for sixe or so hours, you have yourself a treat. I definitely recommend this game!

This is a great game. Amazing game. Can't recommend it enough. The base game is entertaining from beginning to end and at no point does it demand too much. There may be instances where one may feel it's overbearing, but I assure you that you will overcome these challenges very quickly. The ambient soundtrack works well with the dreary atmosphere so much that it enhances that dread as you traverse the world.

I do find the content beyond the base game to be WAY too cryptic. With just how hidden some of these things are, one is forced to refer to the internet ala original Binding of Isaac just to learn what to do next. I find that to be poor craftsmanship and a REALLY easy way to fix that is to just indicated the general location of where something is location akin to how the compass operated in Link's Awakening. This would help keep it hidden while still guiding the player to where they need to be. Further, the platforming demands will definitely turn many people off because of how high the difficulty rises. I think that should be toned down some or more should be done to minimize frustration. I came to play a relaxing game, not try to play a 100% run of Super Meat Boy. The extra bosses are fine. While they're hard as hell to defeat, you get infinite tries and don't lose anything upon losing. That is how they should be treated.

Definitely a great game that I would recommend to anyone. Admirable, Team Cherry, and I only hope to be able to do something as well in the future. Keep it up!
