This game gives you the basic training on how to use the portal gun and to find the introduction of GLaDOS's true colours, or rather AI glitches that makes any threat to human kind. Start with this game and do buy Portal 2 when you are comfortable on how to problem solve in the test chambers.

Pros:-
>> Very good story line
>> Nostalgic features
>> Good model/texture quality
>> Interesting Journels and Family Life
>> Got some nice Tape Musics

Cons:-
>> This game can be completed in just under 1 hour
>> The SNES and VHS player appears to be excluded
>> Some props can be lost when thrown on tables, beds and wooden stools
>> No bumpmap textures
>> FPS rate appears slow on my latest PC
>> Polygon geometry models and surface don't look any realistic for this game
>> Too expensive to buy this game
>> All the maps and environments in this game is all in just one mansion, but nothing further

Overall my answer is no, but for a bargain sale price for under half-price = yes.

This game is just like the original Amiga version and much better in HD - plus it comes with achievements, trading cards and more!

It maybe a old game, but this game rocks near 1992 and 20 years from then it still rocks.

This game isn't so bad and many core gamers find this game awesome as you can do almost anything to commit crimes, but watch out for Police and your heat level. As most of the players know the GTA series, the only thing with GTA3 is the crude "PS2-like" GFX, as it was originally released for PS2 in 2001 but the disappointing part for the PS2 version is the lack of compatibility for the later revision model of the PS3 and PS4. The Steam version however may contain some GFX colour errors when you play in-game like the vehicles with a distinctive yellow glow; plus your saves from the PC Retail Version - that if you choose to transfer into the Steam Version may corrupt it.

Overall this game is enjoyable, and it's generally for over 18s only, plus it does contain some racist stunts and footage: like the Italian Mafia going into Mob Wars with the Chinese Triads. And if you proceed after going into Mob Wars with the Triads and siding with the Diablos, then your chances of survival in the city will be reduced, due to the mobsters trying to take revenge against YOU! So, if you do want to make a 100% complete stats, then I recommend you stay away from other jobs except Luigi's. Because those Taxi, Police and Fire Engine jobs will be impossible if the mobsters start severely opposing you. And don't fail and save when you play on those "Kill Frenzy/Ramage" missions as those are a 1-way ticket.

Speaking of 1-way tickets: If you approach near Mission "Bomb Da Base - Act II", then be aware of Luigi's, Joey's and Toni's jobs, because if you not finished them all, you will never get the 100% completion. Same goes when you reach Staunton Island if you not finished the Jobs from Kenji when you get Donald Love's Jobs. And when you get a Mission from Shoreside Vale, except the PayPhone from Southside Hoods, DON'T buy anymore weapons. Trust me you need the cash for the final showdown.

Now I believe this game appears to be the only game in the GTA 3D series onwards that don't reduce your Criminal Rating stats, so you can cause some cheating mayhem as you want. But don't use them for the newer versions of GTA as those Stats will be ruined.

One final thing, you can download some fixes like the Long Distance enhancement and some of Silent's DirectDraw fixes for this game. Try it! It should be safe:

This game is the like the non-racist version of Wolfenstein 3D, due to the removal of the Nazism themes, that may offend Central European players and from Israel.

This game may have some awkward controls and the GFX may not be improved with rendering enhancements for this DOS game. But you will like this game, if you are a Retro gamer or a iD Software fan. Despite the extreme violence, this 1993 game will do fine.

Well if you got the retail version then you may get your saves corrupted as the inital release of this game had some severe 3Dfx glitches, and some bits that Core Design should of wiped those bugs before sending it to the market.

For this Steam version, however, it appears to be working fine. I don't know if those GFX settings in the startup menu are well operational when you adjust the GFX to Max Power. So do be careful and maybe check your drivers or go to the Tomb Raider website for FAQ info.

But for my honest opinion I think this Steam version will run well - as I don't expect any patches being automatically downloaded that may corrupt the saves, unlike last time with the retail version.

Make sure this game is running v52 build and don't change the Frame Rate Compensation and keep it at [Fast] and maybe set the Camera and Character Cubemap Reflections set at [Occasional].

This game maybe old but still rocks. The IPX Multiplayer may not be useful since that is ancient history, but the single player mode is good. The only thing is trying to solve puzzles on what routes or breaches that is possible to proceed in the game.

Also you maybe better playing in 640x480 or 800x600 as the GUI and HUD will look too tiny to get a clear visual. Those are the things that could improve this game and using the MouseWheel to select weapons - that isn't featured.

Also the DirectDraw for 3D GFX Acceleration is not fully compatible for newer Windows above XP.

I would possibly go for no for this game. Because I was kinda expecting more additional features and maybe include the original version for young gamers to show what the Original 1993 Amiga version of Superfrog really looked like; maybe add some archives or video footage of it, for this HD Remake game to make it a bit more exicting.

The problem I am finding with this game is the spud shooter aiming diagonally.

So personally if some gaming industries want to make a remake as well in HD then I think they should include the original version, but most importantly wipe those long-term discovered bugs that came in the original near the 16-bit era. Save states would be useful if the original SF game came too.

This game appears to be working fine since it was bugged at it's first release. Although the navigation and space stations seem a bit more awkward compared to the original and X2. But the most interesting part is more weapons, ships and hidden secrets within this game.

This game does have a long steep learning curve, but you maybe best to try the Original X Beyond The Frontier, first.

You may get used to it over time, but you never know - as you may find this game not so boring as you got lots to explore the galaxy. And this game is open-ended and never stops, despite its linear storyline.

If you are keen to learn or find some spoilers to avoid any long-term mistakes in your space campaign, you best looking in the EgoSoft forums. Don't use any mods or any cheats that will permenently modify and corrupt your saves and stats, if you are that fussed.

This game appears to remain No. 1 FPS Action games since 2000 for around 8 to 11 years. It is a intense game as your health and your exposure is important as well sticking together with your team mates at all costs. You should maybe try this game and learn the routes in common CS maps like dust or assault. Go on try it!

However they are a several downsides to this game like the weapon nerfs like the recoils and smoke grenade failing to detonate airborne and the lame Tactical Shield. And cos this game is so popular that thousands of servers host this game online, that some PC criminals tend to take advantage on players like using hacking or server addon hacking materials. So you maybe best to stay clear of weird or dodgy servers with extreme adult material and Steam cannot unban victims who got hijacked and VAC banned, so please be careful!

But if you are old and wise enough to handle this intense action game...BUY IT, SOLDIER!
