I love Neverwinter Nights. When I first heard in 2016 that Beamdog was working on an Enhanced Edition, I was delighted. The devs promised us performance improvements, more premium campaigns, and new models and textures. Now, more than eight years later, the remaster of the original NwN looks like a lost opportunity. We were offered only a few new campaigns. The Enhanced Edition SOMEHOW runs even worse than the original 2003 Diamond Edition. We never got the promised overhaul of the original creature and tileset models. And the new weapon/armor/player character models follow a completely different art direction and do not match the original game assets. It's still a great game, even after all these years. But the NwN community deserved a better remaster.

Fun and original game but made by scammy developers. Never buy anything from this studio.

The RPG system and combat in this game is incomprehensible and frustrating. There are so many unintuitive mechanics and factors concerning defenses, hits and damage of your character that you will need several hours alone to understand them instead of playing the game.
There is no sense of progression after leveling up: I didnt feel that my party is much more powerful at lvl 15 than it was at lvl 5. The only thing leveling up changes is the amount of HP and the possibility to choose additional feats.
The RPG system forces you to either make your character a tank, a dps or a support. Creating an universal, all-strong character is impossible till very lategame.
Almost all classes and spells in are directly copied from Dungeons & Dragons.
The story consists of too many lengthy episodes that leave the player with no clue what to do next.
There is no sufficient introduction to the world's lore and story. The NPC's seem unappealing and inauthentic.

Seriously Obsidian, if you wanted to make a D&D game you should have bought the bloody licence instead of creating your own retarded system and world.
