It's like the developers watched Army of Darkness and thought "Hell yeah"

I got extremely drunk with a some soldiers in a large encampment. They needed more booze so one of the knights and I decided to take a drunken walk up the hill to get more. As I was following my new drunk knight buddy, he farted right on me.

I literally got crop dusted.

10/10 take note Todd, this is what GAMERS want.

The moment to moment gameplay is phenomenal. Larian has tapped into what made those classic CRPG's (BG1+2, Planescape, Fallout, etc) fun, and perfected the formula with modern mechanics and polish. Even if this style of RPG typically does not appeal to you, you owe it to yourself to at least try this. Simply cannot be missed.

+Detail and presentation is top notch.

but...
-Level scaling
-Repetitive
-Replayability isn't there, no choices matter, can't role play a dark wizard properly.
-Loot is randomized and repetitive
-Repetitive dialogue
-Story is pretty dull, you're the chosen one WOW!
-Serious performance issues, stutters, fps drops
-Repetitive side objectives
-Repetitive, repetitive, repetitive.

I wanted to like it but after about 30 hours I feel like I've pretty much done and seen everything this game has to offer. I want to finish it but I'm just so BORED. A complete disappointment for someone looking for a true Hogwarts RPG experience. Casual fans and people that don't play video games will eat it up but unfortunately that's not me.

Does the franchise justice. Matchmaking works superbly well. Being able to jump into potentially any halo game 1 through 4 (though why play 4 when 1-3 exist) works pretty flawlessly. Being able to play any campaign is great too. A complete package for those who love Halo.

There's some debateable port issues with regards to specific campaigns (1 especially) but overall I'm satisfied. Extremely thankful that this exists and made it to PC. Faithfully preserves the original games. Can't wait for the server browser update. Must own if a fan.

A masterpiece through and through. Super well optimized, polished, hardly any bugs to speak of other than the occasional frame hitch during specific moments in game. Stellar presentation with insane amounts of detail in almost every possible environment presented to the player. Memorable and entertaining boss fights reminiscent of something out of a MGS game. Just a superb experience that was extremely well developed. Capcom putting western devs on notice, this is how you make a game.

Bravo. GOTY 2021 ezclap.

It's just a shame, really, that we haven't had anything like it in over 10 years now. Outer worlds fell flat, and CP2077 didn't deliver. In terms of a sheer roleplaying experience, it has yet to be topped. The biggest issue you'll have trying to play/replay it is downloading the necessary mods to get it to work properly.

Barring that, it's a masterpiece. Imagine Obsidian having longer than 18 damn months to make this game.

One of the most memorable games of the last 5 years for me. Created an obsession. I've since played almost every Doom available, and even put together a retro pc build just to play the originals on the original hardware. I now own boxed copies of DOOM 1 + 2.

The look, the tone, the music, the atmosphere, the gameplay, the testosterone fueled balls to the wall feeling it gives me. I love it all.

for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake though Id, add in HDR support.
