The same MMO as every MMO since Everquest, no innovation, no soul, just frustration mechanics to catch you out and extract money from your impatience, your boredom, your fomo and your jealousy.

Just slap the same ♥♥♥♥ we've seen over and over in a new engine. This genre has stopped evolving its gameplay, instead of continues to skate the lines of how much mtx the whales are willing to dump in to a fake world to feel superior to 99% of the player base.

Stop playing these manipulative, soul sucking, stale ass copy pasta, face lifts on a cash shop games.

So far I have enjoyed my time playing, It may not be as complex or details as previous games but it is still enjoyable, the new game mode is a nice idea for replayability if you want to continue "missions" rather than endlessly rolling skirmishes.

I hope that the balance and depth of this game expands and evolves as the "live service" aspect of the game kicks in.

Its a fine game with a few cracks in the surface, but there is absolutely no difficulty here, no running out of food or getting beaten in battle, the only obstacle to finishing any given map or objective is time. Production lines are short and theres no worry about storage or production queues.

A note for the devs: it would be good to be able to set production orders to "minimum of 10 in stock" so you can be sure you will always have x number of y in stock rather than having to constantly go back and produce more swords or pickaxes or whatever.

What a unique and interesting game, lots of potential, hopefully DBI can stop doubling down and get back on the track they veered off.

Until then, I cant recommend buying the game, its not yet finished and seemingly parts of it are being cut out and sold again to people who already bought the (admittedly well priced) whole game.

Good game at its core and design, but it was released too early with multiple working dupe bugs.
Developers banned a few accounts but didn't delete the duped resources, items crafted from them or rollback the crafting progress of those who abused it. The devs consider the problem fixed, but there are more dupes all the time and any accomplishment from playing legit is tarnished to the point of pointlessness.

A rollback of a few days/weeks or a delay on the release date would have saved the game, but we got half assed fixes, some token bans and lies instead.

A perfect example of why game development requires more than competency.

The game is good, the design is fine, the art is well done.
But there is no passion in this game, it's a safe execution of a contract.
There are no risks, no inspiration, no labour of love. Just a competent design team fulfilling the brief they were given.

Buy it if you've never played an ARPG, or if you are deeply in love with the 40k universe. but do not expect this to be the game you come back to over and over.
