As of launch day, the game has so many problems and bugs compared to the original port, or hell, even compared to the game back on Xbox.

As the other reviews are saying as well, what little multiplayer servers there are are extremely unstable and latency issues are wildly rampant. I'm sorry, but I should not be missing shots that my client registers as hits -- I'll shoot somebody, the laser disappears and the hit animation for my enemy will play, but they'll take no damage; likewise, I'll watch enemy lasers miss me as I run and my health will be draining as if I was getting hit. All of this, on supposedly a 50-60 ping server? I don't think so. There's definitely way more latency issues from what the client is registering to what the servers are.

On top of that, MOUSE ACCELERATION IS PERMANENTLY ON in this game with no way to turn it off. It is very clearly made with controller support in mind, trying to be as faithful as it can be to the original Xbox versions of the games, at great detriment to PC. Likewise, in space combat, your Y-axis movement is PERMANENTLY INVERTED with no option to change it (and I checked really deep.) On top of that, certain buttons and functions just do not work, like in Galactic Conquest, the "Skip" button to either engage in a fight without using a bonus, or to skip your turn, straight up do not at ALL. Trying to skip bonuses will just use the one you have selected anyway, and trying to skip your turn when on the galaxy map will reselect your fleet. Likewise, after deselecting your fleet in Galactic Conquest, you cannot select OTHER planets you control to make a new fleet around them - it keeps reselecting your current fleet. These are simple issues that even the original port never had. Why are they here??

Even the achievements are weird and buggy. For some reason, the Guardian medal achievement and the War Hero medal achievement is swapped?? When I got my first Guardian medal, I got the War Hero achievement, and when I got my first War Hero medal, I got the Guardian achievement....

On top of that, somehow they even messed up your profile stat screens at the end of a fight. Sometimes, the match's stats will just straight up be wrong. For example, I did a Republic Galactic Conquest, and very frequently the stats would show that my favorite class was Super Battle Droid and my favorite weapon was the Write Blaster... Not to mention the screen after that, the overall profile stats page that showcase your profile's total stats, was just straight up missing sometimes for seemingly no reason.

All of this culminates in a really unpleasant and unpolished experience all around. There is zero reason currently to play this version over the original port except for the promise of fixed multiplayer in the future, fixed resolution issues, and better textures and UI, which all do look good admittedly. But seriously, most of these issues weren't even present in the original port. Why are they here now? It is, in its current state, not worth the 30$-40$.

Truly a great game. I really liked Episode 1 and I think this is a great continuation of the story. It has everything really: more great dialogue, more absolutely fantastic, passionate voice acting that's full of character, more puzzle solving that really makes you think and makes you go back to what characters said in the past to help you in the future. You can tell that the creators put a lot of care and effort into this game and it pays off. It's a stunning game, and the cute little video during the credits was super heartwarming to see. I can't wait for Episode 3!

I'm not entirely sure what else to say other than, "It's MH: World, on PC".

It's exactly what you expect. Though it's surprising how a lot of the graphical fidelity looks very close to what we already have on console. You'd expect some kind of higher tier graphics and textures, and there are, but it's hard to get too much improvement from an already beautifully looking game.

The only gripes I have with it is that, MH: World's keyboard and mouse controls are somewhat reminiscent of how Dark Souls runs on m&k, with very complex controls and all that. I tried m&k but ended up using my wired Xbox controller because it just controls better in my opinion.

That, and the fact that the cinematics are STILL lip synced in Japanese! THEY HAD NINE MONTHS TO FIX THE LIP SYNCING AND THEY DIDN'T FIX IT TO ENGLISH. I AM SO UPSET AT THIS BECAUSE I WANT MY LIP SYNCING DAMMIT!!!

Aside from that, the game is extremely lively and a lot of enthusiastic people are playing it. Just earlier I had a great time voice chatting with people who were both veterans and new players, all of them hyped that the game is on PC, and we all had a fun time arm wrestling each other in the Gathering Hub and going on quests together, until the same ol' ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Capcom servers wrecked the connection yet again. Yeah, those are back in the PC port as well, unfortunately.

I know I'm just being nitpicky, but all in all, it's just MH: World on PC. Same really fun game to play, and has the same charm as the console version... with a much more lively playerbase.

7/10, do recommend getting and having fun in. The events are great as well.

For those wanting to upgrade their Starter Editions, you can do it, at some cost. Firstly, you're going to have to be willing to pay the full price for a standard or advanced edition, effectively wasting $15, but I can personally say that once you do, things will be a lot more fun since you have access to the other operators much faster, giving you much more variation and in turn, a lot more fun.

As for actually "upgrading", here are the steps:

1. You have to go to the Steam support page and you have to fully REMOVE the game from your account. Completely get rid of it. Yeah, it sucks, but it allows you to buy any other edition you want, and if you linked your Steam and Ubisoft account, your progress will be saved: all unlocked operators stay, all renown and credits stay. Just make sure your accounts are linked first.

2. Once you've deleted it from your account, you can just buy the standard or advanced edition (or any other edition) and you should be good to go. You can use your renown you still have to purchase all the starting operators for 500->1000->1500->2000 renown each rather than the Starter's 12500 reown each.

I hope this helped you!

I really do love this game despite its flaws, and there's a lot of fun and competitiveness to be had here. It's slower paced and more tactical than most shooters, and allows for extremely destructible environments which I have a soft spot for. I do definitely recommend.

I simply cannot praise this game enough. This game is a stunning mix of survival and horror, and with the great job that the devs have been making with this game, ESPECIALLY with the most recent updates, I simply cannot stay silent about how much I love this game and how much I love the developers of this beautiful game. Please keep up this great work, UnknownWorlds, this game is spectacular.

I don't know what it is about Dark Souls 2 that I like more than the other DS games. Everyone says that DS2 is the worst souls game in the series but I'd argue that it's the best. I tried Dark Souls 3 but quickly refunded it because something about it just didn't feel right, maybe the rolling animations were weird, I don't know, and Dark Souls 1, while I do enjoy it, just doesn't have the same great feeling and tactical necessity that I find and enjoy in Dark Souls 2. Dark Souls 2 still has a great active playerbase, a fantastic PvP system and possibly the best DLC in the entire series, not to mention the fantastic music. While there are a few questionable things like Soul Memory instead of DS1's Soul Level pairing system, it's still a great game, and heavily recommend buying it.

(Although the biggest peeve I have is how DS2's dragon form is basically armor. Come on man, DS1's dragon form looks fantastic! At least it isn't as bad as DS3's though...)

An amazingly fun and cute game. It's honestly quite amazing how this is only still in pre-alpha (version 0.2.4b)!

It works great, the rather simple cartoonish graphics make it much easier to play on old/terrible computers (like mine). It's constantly being updated, and has very few bugs, at least that I've seen. It's quite interesting to experiment with the mechanics of this game for a few hours, like what hybrids work with each other very well, and how to make it so that you pretty much have infinite resources.
There're already two different zones with 10 or more different slimes to collect, with much more coming soon.

Get this game now and anticipate the upcoming additions. :)

Note: This review is subject to change later.

I'll be honest, I thought that this game had a great concept. There are only a handful of other games that try to create a full-fledged dragon RPG (including destructible environment).

Sadly, though, this game... is not amazing. It has very flighty controls (pun intended), for one. I definitely recommend trying it with a controller of some sort, as when I tried the mouse controls, I ended up somehow wedged in a rock upside-down. I also got ever-so-slightly sick from the flipping, and I'm not even prone to that kind of thing! Anyway, just use a controller.

The graphics are decent, so nothing too horrific about that, except for the fact that you can't customize your dragon at all (insert sad face here).

My game also ended up crashed during the first "cutscene". The cutscenes consist of text and pictures, which, if done correctly, could be great, but in this case, I could never find out because the game kept crashing.

I woud definitely recommend waiting a bit longer for changes to some things. It's a great concept, but requires a lot of time and resources to execute correctly and well. It IS definitely better than SOME triple A games though. And that's a genuine compliment.

This game is so amazing. While most people are turned off by the graphics, this game is so unique in it's character design, and a lot of the game's overall mechanics. They take time travel and make it an ongoing concept in the game! Not many games do that. The game remembers all your choices, even after resetting your save file.

This game has a ton of content too. It took me 9 hours just to get the true ending, even after blazing through everything because I knew what I was doing (from watching YouTubers play it), and I still have yet to do some of the other endings, and experiencing some the easter eggs in this game.

BUY. THIS. GAME. It's definitely worth it.
