Sometimes we end relationships we wish could’ve lasted, erasing conversations and memories to protect ourselves from the pain. We may seem like the less loving side, but the truth is, the love was too overwhelming, and we didn’t know how to express it. We leave because we love, but can’t find the right words to explain why. Do we say “I loved you but you didn’t love me?” or that “I nearly lost myself loving you, and you didn’t even notice?” Sometimes we accept the blame, knowing deep down we never stopped loving them, hoping they’ll realize it one day.
