Zero Hour – Tactical FPS with Big Potential, but Needs Major Improvements

Map Design:
Most maps in Zero Hour are way too large for a tactical game. Instead of feeling strategic, it becomes confusing and hard to find enemies. Maps should take inspiration from Call of Duty’s “Clean House” or Rainbow Six Siege — compact, focused, and efficient. In Zero Hour, the large scale doesn’t add fun, and the map design often gets in the way.
Objects are placed poorly, often blocking movement for no reason. Some doors only open from one side, making the peek mechanic almost useless — especially since you can’t open doors slowly to stay silent.

Lighting & Environment:
Lighting is not well done. In maps like “Cocktail Crisis,” the lights feel unrealistic and distracting. It ruins the atmosphere rather than enhancing it.

Gameplay Mechanics:
Actions like defusing bombs or placing traps take way too long, slowing down the game unnecessarily. For a tactical shooter, things should feel intense, not sluggish.

5v5 PVP Experience:
When you get good teammates, PVP can be very fun. But often, players don’t understand the game’s planning system. The drawing tools are mostly used for fun, not strategy.
Ping and callouts are also underwhelming.
If teams are uneven, the game should add bots to balance things out.

Matchmaking & Bugs:
Connection is unreliable, and matchmaking is slow. The biggest issue — getting disconnected results in losing 10,000 points, even when it’s not the player’s fault. This makes the ranking system feel broken and unfair.

Cosmetics & Customization:
Skins are overpriced and not appealing. Even free ones don’t look good.
Character customization is very limited and doesn’t look cool at all.

Final Thoughts:
Zero Hour has real potential. With proper updates and support, it could become a great tactical shooter. There’s a fanbase for this kind of game — all it needs is polish and care.
