My favourite MMO of all time. Although I will admit this is likely a large amount due to nostalgia, the mechanics are simple but addictive. Like all MMOs it has it's flaws with gold sellers, bots and scammers but it is a really enjoyable experience.

I would recommend trying the free to play and if it seems interesting, pay for membership. It opens the game up massively with new areas, quests and skills.

The standard client leaves alot to be desired and I would reccomend launching Runelite through steam instead of their standard client. Runelite is an enhanced open source client made by passionate fans, it has some helpful quality of life features that eventually becomes hard to live without!
