GOF2 was my favorite game in childhood. Always wanted to find a remastered version, but haven't seen anything liked it for years. I followed Everspace 2 since before its early access, rockfish made something quite like GOF2, but still lacking many features. It's hard to imagine that on a mobile game 15 years ago, you can walk into a space bar and chat with people, receiving quests or trade offers.
I wish to see more features of everspace 2 coming up in the future:
1.
More game factions and alternative routes for player. In GOF2 different civilizations have different relation with each other. The relation between the player and these factions will affect price or AI behaviors.
2.
Independent mining module as an option for players to spend time for credits. Setting some small game in exploration process would be nice (like having a drink in a bar or play cards or gamble with strangers)
3. Turret modules on the ship.
4. More ships!
