This game is brilliant when it works.
The tedium you experience ruins an otherwise excellent game, notable when you try to perfect ratings for S-rank.

You can raid various compounds living out your boot-licker fantasies to your heart's content. You can also spend literally 50-60% of your playtime rummaging around in the dirt, looking for weapons you need to secure for a level to auto-complete.

The main issues arise when an already tedious mechanic of securing hostile's weapons becomes glitchy, weapons consistently bug out, having witnessed so many weapons just fall through the floor, get stuck in scenery, or disappear into thin-air.

In lieu of fixed weapons, just remove the mechanic as a requirement, the idea that you can detain everyone in the area, but a loose pistol shuts down the whole operation is woeful.

Factorio is brilliant in the way that every piece of the puzzle is your own, you start with the most fundamental building blocks and progress into the largest web of interconnected foundries and manufacturing plants

Build to whatever level of complexity you enjoy, the game does not need you to exert yourself optimising, but my god will it allow you to..
