game is okay for the most part, it's pretty and the fox's gameplay works decently well, puzzlewise pretty weak to nonexistent, the secondary objectives were pretty basic and storywise it's nothing to write home about, this can't rival a Journey or a Sky but i had a good time with it except for chapter 7 which plainly sucks,awful level design.

One of the best rpgs i've ever played,

Between the unique story, the writing quality, the excellent voice acting, the open world and dungeons level design,the absolutely fantastic lore,art direction and world building they created,the lovely ost

I've long forgotten that this is supposed to be a "free mod", this is way beyond that scope

Don't believe me? Just check my total hours which is roughly the main quest and most secondary content done, it's massive and longer than most regular real rpg games.

It absolutely put it's base TESV to shame on so many aspects and i won't even be acknowledging what's pretending to be rpgs nowadays... This? This is the real deal, like games we had years ago

It's immersive, there are REAL choices and consequences to your actions and it constantly makes you question yourself on these decisions until the very end, the side content is far better than mmo filler too, there are truly sad and not so stories to discover in there that make this world help feeling even more alive, (which it already does a great lot),

The open world is classic in its biomes but the zones are engaging to explore and filled with content, there's so many memorable places to see and a WHOLE lot of secondary dungeons and tombs to explore, not every one of them are that unique but you'll still feel the hand craft and love put into them.

Now where the game/mod fall short is in the fact it is a mod and that it comes with limitations, it still is overall Skyrim's gameplay for the good and bad, the engine is still a janky mess, surprisingly it's mostly stable with a couple crashes and scripts bugs appearing here and there, you gotta tweak files to unlock the framerate/fix a mount bug with a mod, the jumping is still absolute garbage, so don't expect that part of the game to shine since you're here for the rest which is brilliant.

The devs tried making the gameplay more engaging with a very down to earth and hardcore beginning, you are a nobody so you fight like one and that will continue for hours and hours, it is a frustrating experience since even a rat or random skeleton will two shot you and if you heal with a potion, good luck with the sickness (which is a cool concept but that needed slight tweaks imo)

Still the moment you acknowledge you don't have the skills to tackle exploration/fighting yet you will start getting it and how to better your character slowly but surely and by the end of the game if played right you will be a filthy rich and almost unkillable son of a gun, which kinda kills the challenge but that's another subject and most (good) rpgs flaws since your the epitome of what your character can be.

Gotta say thought that the skills/attribute system is a mix of flawed "good" ideas

For skills , this game will expect you to focus on a build and it will be tough to play every weapons decently but you can still pick from every trees what you consider needing to compensate and they will give you enough points to do it (atleast if you explore and do the side content i'm guessing)

For attributes you can't just throw points into what you want, you need to buy expensive books one by one to level what you want, which is a real struggle for atleast the first half of the game and sadly since the enemies in this game hit extremely hard it really is a struggle and a frustrating bag since you have the points given with leveling up but can't because of the lack of money,

There's not even that much attributes books to find in the world which is quite lame, so just become wealthy which can be quite easy when you know what to sell.

Anyway enough rambling i think i explained what i liked and disliked enough,i could go on but this is already long enough

So TLDR: Incredible game/mod, bought skyrim solely for it and it was worth every cent,

Absolute rock solid 9.5/10, that story is going to live rent free in my head for atleast a couple of months now yay.

Played this cause it's considered a classic and the modder got to work at valve so my expectations were high but this is legit one of the worst mods i've played,

Gameplay wise it's closer to a gmod map than anything else, the enemy placement and rate for example were crazy, it's like the dev spammed the spawn button and put them in the most obnoxious places you can imagine, they even spawn behind you in zones you thought you cleared, i guess it's to force you to move along but sorry for exploring and taking my time i guess?

And yeah the game loves reminding you to keep up with its (not really) witty dialogs, like when you're stuck on a bad puzzle.

Also i don't know if he tweaked the enemies but combines felt way tankier and hit really hard while the headcrab were spasm jumping and there was sooooo much of them with the manhacks it legit made me crazy

Storywise i can say it gives a nice note of lore but the dialog aspect made no sense, not enough information to even piece a puzzle, it's really just you go in the compound and get out,

Talking about that the mod absolutely love making you do the same levels but the other way around, guess it's an easy way to make content but it was really boring.

Maybe i should not complain too much about a FREE Mod but i definitely expected better, not recommended.

Visceral Cleanup without the jankyness mixed with Powerwash sim but with a more casual gameplay and an actual storyline to follow

Exploration was great and might be the game strongest point, many things to discover on complex and big maps,

The cleaning aspect was engaging and the skill tree was well made, made you feel you getting better at the job crime after crime

Also lot of story telling in the environment from the hub to the levels that reinforce immersion, these places feel somewhat alive swat 4/Infra like and makes you picture the before/after easily.

The dialogs from our character were pretty funny at time from corny reference to deranged dark humor it helped with the monotony with a good pick for his voice.

So yeah for its price it's an instant pickup if you're into these type of games and frankly i think this is my GOTY (not that this year was that exciting releasewise...), didn't expect to like it as much as i did, now let's see if Visceral Cleanup 2 can best it but i doubt it

Only thing lacking is modding support and a workshop page and it will become the ultimate clean sim at this point.

Solid 8/10 waiting/hoping for dlcs

Woke buggy mess with a frustrating gameplay, liked it at first but i'm done

First, the keybinds are bugged, i play with an azerty keyboard and even when changing keys the ultimate button is stuck on Q

Second, the game kills me randomly while exploring the map, i got on a bush with full health? Dead, walk on the street with no enemies around? Dead

Third the gameplay is boring, every enemies being forced to be killed by a specific weapon is a terrible gameplay design decision, you're forced to use awful weapons like the gnome to kill the aoe attack flip flop dude that hurts like a mf, the fast guy with cv bombs is even worst and at one point you're just tired of kiting most of the time going in circle killing them one by one,

I really like the environments, the funny references (not the cringy ones like karen,etc) and the fact you don't kill enemies like in most boomer shooters but man between the cringy dialogs, the questionnable chara design and this mess of a gameplay its really hard to appreciate the game

Also its poorly optimized with random framedrops when the game look like your average Doom wad and some maps feel unfinished in places you can easily go out of bounds, really strange.

For the woke part its mostly subtle like cringe ad panels or dialogs, not the worst but definitely not enjoyable.

A very nice game with big flaws i'd say

it has a very fun gameplay, Sonic is just a blast to control even if he's not the easiest to control for tight jumps, i'd say the biggest problem is how fast the dash goes, you want to fix a bad jump start? reach a little longer? well the dash will ruin it because it will launch you forward 15 meters ahead, you can cancel with with a drop but its tricky for sure, its especially worse at max rings sadly because its where Sonic controls the best except for this specific action.

A pretty good level design for a semi open world, at this point i'd say the secondary content is better than the main game, a lot to discover and very well made obstacles to clear (loved the rare koco ones,they're great)

Story has some good things to show but is overall pretty weak, i still liked Sage especially toward the end, good new character

Ost is just great, a lot of memorable tracks and bosses themes are 10/10, which was made even better with the adding of the jukebox in an update (which makes you able to play a lot of memorable songs from tons of sonic games while exploring the open world !)

cyberspace levels are a mixed bag, most 3d levels are pretty fun but the 2d ones were not really well made, hard to see what's ahead which made it frustrating getting s rank on them,

Combat system has a great base but is rather shallow,it just doesn't work well on random mobs and bosses, but when it rarely does its really fun switching between combos if they use it again in a next game with more polish it could be insane, it really has that much potential

now for the bad there are flaws that are easily fixable in the next entry, others not so much

for first i'd say adding a minimap would greatly help in the quality of life part of the game, because if you're a completionist and search all the secondary challenges you didn't clear yet you need to open the map everytime which takes a couple second to load, its just annoying

a better made skill tree, some skills should not be unlockable, others are totally broken especially in the expansion which i'll talk about later

a better level system, defence and attack should require way less items since you don't fight that much in game its just too secondary, speed should only be about 50 levels of kocos a 100 is just too much to grind and the ring stat is just... useless

also i wish the islands were more unique looking, the first and second are fine but the rest are not really memorable sadly, also falling off the map shouldn't kill you, let us experiment without tough punishment, you fall you instantly respawn where you last jumped, its just awful missing a tight jump to the other side of an island only to fall from the slippery slope to a game over screen every time

bosses are also a mix bag, the cinematic aspect is literal 10/10, its as good as bosses from metal gear rising which for me is peak bosses visually, the gameplay sadly doesn't keep up, bosses are tanky, use the same attacks multiple time and are quite janky truly, camera doesn't always keep up which make the experience quite messy but its truly a spectacle

so yeah overall the main game is a diamond on a rough, its janky but the devs won't stop you from picking your own routes, almost no invisible walls so cheese as you want, but still try some obstacles because they're mostly really well made and its a joy to chain them

Now for the expansion

I loved controlling 3 new characters, their themes are great (even if i would have loved to use the jukebox to break the monotony), their skill tree are mostly well made except for the max ring ability which is totally busted, you can basically noclip of the map with it, fly where you want and skip all obstacles, its totally busted

story felt not necessary, its just the end of main game but slightly different, i loved the conversations with other characters even if like the main game its too stiff between the quality of the dialogues and how the camera follow what's going on, its just a still plan, feels like a cheap mmo...

obstacles like in the main game are great and well made for each characters, like the main game the secodnary objectives are clearly superior to the main game, main quests being just playing "fetch this" "talk to this guy" and the final objective before the finale boss was just horrible like why even make this? why?

talking about the finale boss it has the same flaws as the other bosses but worse, its totally focused on one gameplay mechanic that personnally i found boring to use, the visual still was 10/10 giving us a very memorable boss overall even if the gameplay sucked

so yeah tldr: very nice underrated game but with a touch of jank for sure.

The best Marvel game with GOTG, Period

The gameplay aspect is incredible,its simple and approachable unlike xcom but you still have a lot of possibilities to get out of impossible situations, i'd say most of the heroes are viable (except for the last two unlockable surprisingly they kinda suck)

The customization is nice, most of the skins are really pretty with some being absolutely stunning (advice use Niko with her Dark Witch skin even outside of combats, that removes her being really ugly)

The deckbuilding feels overwhelming at first but the game teaches you well all the specificities, i'm normally terrible at this type of game and my hunter had a crazy build

The rpg vibe (almost like a Persona) is perfect for fanservice, the heroes talk (a lot), the story around our protagonist was fun and i loved his interactions with all the characters, for a blank state type of character he was surprisingly charismatic if you pick the right answers

Still this game is a huge time sink, i didn't 100% and got to around 75 hours ish to complete the main story + dlcs+ clear the abby (and man the abby is a game by itself, so much to discover in it ) and got Blade to max friendship level

Since this game flopped you can get the complete edition for 30 bucks if you search well and man you get a lot of content for that type of money

Might be goty 2022 for me or atleast one of the best, hands down, if you're a marvel fan (until endgame and don't care much for part 4) this is a good replacement, it has that very slight woke tone but i didn't really care, its not in your face all the time so

So yeah tldr great game overall
