I have no idea what's going on with y'all, my game runs amazing on my 2yo prebuilt PC with pretty much everything on high. I did literally zero tweaking of my graphics settings, just download and play.

Boils down to: Game is fun.
I beat the low rank story last night and overall had a really great time. Yeah there is a lot of handholding and a lot of annoying story standing in the way of the game, but there is a lot less of it than World, and we can even skip cutscenes now, so there is even *less* than that if you want.
Absolutely the most interesting and fun new monster designs in a long time, specifically referring to a pair of monsters in the mid and late game that came out of nowhere and are the most unique monsters since Seltas Queen. If you've fought them, you know who Im talking about.
Wound mechanics and focus attacks do make the game a bit easy. Ive only carted once and it was due to a misunderstanding on how a boss' specific mechanic worked. But the moves are visually fun, and satisfying to pull off. Its not a "press button to win" option either, on Monsters that move around a lot, it still requires a good deal of precision to pull off.

My biggest complaints are the same ones Ive had for the last three games.
I wanna turn off the control guide thats glued to the top right corner. I know how to play.
I want to turn off tutorials, I know how to play.
Stuff like that

Beyond that, Id like the old style of questing back. I get they wanted to streamline things for first-timers so they dont have the issue Rise had where a bunch of people jumped into bigger monsters in multiplayer as their first quest and got pasted, but that isnt the game's fault. Those people got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and pissy because they dove in over their heads in their first MH and didnt respect the game.
Things shouldnt be changed for the loud idiots who jump in, get smeared, yell about it on twitter, and then never load the game up again.

Im not even a fan of this franchise.
I literally bought this game out of spite for the thin skinned losers complaining about "woke" and "DEI".
Seems fun so far, looking forward to spending more time with it.
You poor sad snowflakes that cant handle some pronouns in your big boy video games are certainly missing out on something fun while you spend your time flailing and crying like literal infants.

Love this game, from its baseline concept to its execution to its artstyle. An all around fantastic creation.
But no gem is without its flaws.

If I wanna make something grandiose and goofy, this is super relaxing and chill.
If I wanna make something detailed and actually nice looking, my tiny nitpicks evolve into OCD freakouts that skyrocket my heart rate.

This comes from the need to go into hyper minute detail with structure parts to make various parts of structures look the way you want them to.
For example: For stairs to look exactly the way you want them to, you need to make a set of walls, chop them up into blocks, then individually line them up, rotate them, and adjust their height until you have your perfect stairs.
For some? Lovely, relaxing, zen, etc. For people like me? An effort that drives you slowly insane until all the tiny flaws you cant seem to get right drive you to toss your keyboard across the room.

Things like prefab stairs, bridges, a copy/paste tool, and the ability to snap flat walls and structure centers together so I dont have to spend 10 minutes rotating each individual block to be perfectly lined up would be small additions that wouldnt impact the game's overall freedom of form, but would allow people like me to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere this game seeks to provide.

I see some of the things people have made in this game and it honestly gives me a sense of awe because the amount of patience that it must take to create those scenes is something that my brain will never allow itself.

Absolutely incredible game, the most fun I've had playing a video game in years.

Ignore people freaking out about microtransactions. All of it is pointless garbage that is easily earned ingame.
Their presence doesn't mean capcom is actively leeching your bank account.
Performance complaints are a matter of computer quality. I have a decent computer and have had zero issues so far, but someone with a worse computer wont have that same experience.

The review bomb is undeserved. Ignore people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it and judge the game based on the game, not the obligatory cash fluff the suits on the board of investors demand be added.
