A really well thought out strategy game with lots of customizable features for your civilization.

I love the ship customization and research system.

I bought the early edition on 2017 when it wasnt on steam, they never allowed to convert my non steam edition to steam edition, lvled a lot almost max lvl, left the game in 2018, come back today to learn that i lost everything, including the game and purchases of content i made, because in 2022 THEY decided that i had 6 months to move my account from one company to the other (this happened to a lot of people).

Scammiest people ever. I wont remove this bad review unless i get a refund at least.

Dont take my word for it. Just look at the thousands of expert youtubers playing tabletop RPGS and favorably reviewing fantasy grounds as possibly the best option out there.

If you dont mind playing phyisically and taking a bit longer to prepare maps and rolls, then play on a real table. But if you like being on your confortable pc, making following rules much faster and easier, and letting you play with your group of friends, maybe even sharing the GM account. (you can buy 1 ultimate edition and share it with your friends). All in all, a great purchase.

PS: If you want a 3D tabletop experience, you might want to go to play on real life, you may also be able top play on Tabletop Simulator (which I would also recommend buying), but the limited ammount of assets, and the extremely time consuming nature of creating campaigns in Tabletop Simulator makes me almost discard the option to recommend playing tabletop RPGs on there.

Consider Roll20 ONLY if you wanna play for free, paying for roll20 or any subscription is just a waste of your cash. If you are not sure you wanna play tabletop RPGS just find a DM and play with them for a few sessions to feel for yourself if you like the game... (FOR FREE, or maybe pay for your DM, i dont know, but do not subscribe to roll20).

I don't have 800 hours on this game for no reason. I really recommend this game if you want a highly moddable game with never seen before potential for both Strategy, and also Tactical and RPG combat.

The devs are adding stuff but slowly. Given the size of the game and that taleworlds is not an AAA company its completly understandable. I just wish they did a more clear roadmap. I dont mind waiting, and the game is gonna be uncomparable to others (it is already), but you kind of get doubtful sometimes even if they remind you WHY YOU TRUST THEM WHEN THEY SEND AN AWESOME VIDEO WITH MOD SUPPORT COMING

Its simply the best game out there. I think the best explanation to this would be that this game is a mixture of the animal keeping in stardew valley but animals are actually cute plump humans (mostly girls) mixed with fantasy races. Wholesome game. This game should get game of the century award by all magazines.

Update2: DAMN the new armored update is awesome. It added an incredibly detailed armor model to tanks, and now you can train and test all weapons in the armory. Extremely cool.

Update: I've been playing this for the last years, and I'm having a blast. Great game, excellent successor and WW2 version of Squad (yeah, im looking at you Hell let loose, that game is really overrated). The love for the game from the devs is big, let's now wait for an eastern front in some update.

I do not own hell let loose, but its clear from the many videos online that hell let loose is not worth it, it's basically a rip off clone of this game, with so many features missing from both this game and squad (like medic healers healing to full health, ballistics that use scan detect instead of being physically based, graphics and sound are much better on post scriptum (specially the sound if you wanna have an eargasm using a garand), and now tank physics that are incredible. Ow wait, hell let loose has paintings on some houses (?).

Old: Probably too early to say this but if you are playing any other world war shooter, or even worse, you are considering to buy any other ww2 shooter, then stop, think twice, and then buy this game. Simply put its Squad in WW2, And to be honest it has a bit less of the tedious hyper fob building and more of the drive vehicles and spawn fobs near the objective but hide them and run into battle together speaking in your team (yes, there is trucks now which allow you to spawn in them). The only obvious downside/feature of this game is not having planes, planes are a feature you can call as a commander to bomb enemies or gun them down, which in my opinion adds to realism since maps would be kinda small for a plane to fly over. If you are doubting if there is enough players in this game, since the love this game recieves is a lot, people tend to play this several years after the game releases, like squad does, so the multiplayer will not die easily at all, and there is a lot of servers. Only problem I find for someone who has difficulty speaking english is that there is only european german and french speaking servers, which of course would lag for everyone else. There is no portuguese server yet (2019/12) nor there is servers in spanish). I guess you can still play without talking, but you would be required to understand at least your squad leader which will probably speak in english (otherwise you will probably get kicked).

Update: the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. if you like getting raped, play it for 9999 hours. Just go get Post Scriptum, its much better and will satiate your lust for ww2 weaponry.

This game is for 2 types of people, masochists, and the sons of Arabian Sheikhs. I'm clearly the former but i dont know. Its pretty fun after 100 hours of getting raped every 14 seconds.
Positive:
Has infantry, Vehicles, Tanks and Planes. They are nor to arcady, nor too realistic, still much more realistic than the latest BFV which in my opinion looks like a bunch of intoxicated guys with 30 bottles of Speed on their bloodstream. This game is clearly Not Arma, clearly not Warthunder, but playing as a plane and shooting infantry feels nice without beeing too realistic or too arcady. (game is pretty hard).

Why US has no SEAD, no patriot anti air? NATO tanks are completly nerfed, heatfs is completly broken and unfair advantage from russia, and armors from nato tanks is completly nerfed. But russia has broken Ka-50, china has best anti air helicopter somehow. Game makes complete no sense sometimes.

Bradley is completly nerfed. Tow 2B isnt EVEN CLOSE to real life performance. I wanted a realistic game but russian crybabies keep nerfing US vehicles.
