Smashball is a modification of Half-Life 2 that uses the SDK 2007 engine. It is a futuristic sport in which the objective is to try to get the ball into the opponent's goal by preventing it from entering yours. By all necessary means.

Smashball can be considered an extravagant mix between Handball, American Football and a quite frenzied shooter. The field players have "hooks" (hooks that shoot where you aim that allow you to swing for speed and a better strategic position in terms of height), weapons of different kinds, be it a beam that stops anyone who catches it or launcher of small green balls that hinder the speed of the hitter or a debunking shotgun in short range.

It is a fast and frenetic game, with a very steep learning curve but the community is friendly and helps new players, making this curve not as drastic as it really is.

The community suffered a stagnation several years ago, but different Steam groups managed to revive the game, so if you are going to download and try this game, and want to do it with people, it is now or never.

In summary: Frenzy, fun, complicated and engaging sports game that will make each match an exciting duel to define who is faster, cunning and precise to win.
