Despite the lies and slander Boblin the Goblin is infact not a Gnome.
He's an upstanding gentleman to the highest of Goblin standards.

Another entry in my favorite point and click adventure game.
Some good parts, some frustation, some... I don't know if it's fair to call it retcons?

First of all, hands down the cutest depiction of Elaine and Guybrush relationship.
I enjoyed the game, it wasn't to hard, short and sweet.
I can definitly relate to the letter in the recap having grown up with the series and all.

I do however have to add that there's a fair few things that were not good or lazy.
Gameplay spoiler: Locksmith, over and over again.
Not letting me pick up items until I get specific triggers, I'll assume I can't pick that up if there is no option.
Atleast make a "why do I want to pick that up?" dialogue or something.
Finale spoiler First part was a nice fix for the end of MI2 but this ending just doubles down again. Where any of his adventures even real? (in universe ofcourse)

Secret word : Angel

Quiet introspection, you'll learn a few things about yourself along the way.

A fantastic game to be sure, however sometimes you get blinded by nostalgia goggles.
It's nice to be able to collect items before I even know that I need them, but sometimes in these older Point and click adventure games the sollutions can be really obtuse.
Also the scrolling and pathfinding can sometimes make simple tasks needlessly complicated.

It's been quite some time since I last played with Foster, heck I still remember running this from Msdos.
I can't say I ever imagined a sequel to be made, but here we are.
The main mechanic in the game Hacking, was extremly well implemented and with a lot of interesting applications for the genre.

Game is overall really solid, good humor, graphics, tech jokes, nostalgia referances and more.
I encountered a few clipping issues, (climbing behind a ladder etc.) and talking sometimes gave weird angles. But nothing to really ruin the game.

Puzzles were on the easy to medium ish, nothing that you will need to bash your brain to figure out.
Still I think that not getting stuck endlessly makes the story flow better overall. (for this game at any rate)

Part of me hoped I could romance Songbird or Orana by the end of it, Guess I've played to many Bioware titles.

The fix worked! Thank you very much.
I'm keeping the original text so if more people have this issue they can see the fix for it in the dev comment.

-----------------------------------------

Even on day 1 of using the Vive Pro on with it, it keept having difficulities registering clicks.
Keep trying to click on stuff but nothing happens, usually takes 5-6 attempts just to get it to select an item.
Right click seems fine, but it's the leftclick with the trigger that doesn't seem to work well on either controller.

I'd use this more often if they manage to fix that issue, not sure if the devs read these but please consider looking into that.

So yeah, this game is short, I mean really short.
I'm quite sure you've saturated the amount of puns and referances available in this centuary.

Let's just take this with a Pros / Cons list.

Pros
-funny referance jokes.
-Solid mechanics
-Wacky solutions

Cons
-If you can't handle the amount of bad jokes this guy spits at you like a machinegun this aint for you.
-The footsteps when walking in ship are a bit loud compared to other sound effects.
-Short
-Even shorter if you have experience with old computers.

The only thing that took me time in this game was 1 minigame that refused to work.
Thankfully you can reset it by walking in and out of the room, but I did it 9 times before it registered.

I had fun, I bought it on the summer sale for 5€.

This piece will have a unique meaning to each person that views it, but that is one of the wonders of art.
Along the ride I had many conjectures of the morales behind each game.
Was I incorrect, did I make false/hurtful assumptions based on my observations?
In the end how do I even begin to justify the judgment I've made about another person?
Are they judgeing me aswell?
It's impossible to know the answer.

Both the Stanley Parable and this game gave me thought on topics I've only briefly considered before pushing them aside.
Painful topics that you'd rather not deal with, but can fester like an open wound if left unattended.

It was worth my time in the end, I enjoyed the emotional ride.
