"IT IS AN AMAZING GAME BUT..."

Wilds is a great continuation from Worlds, from the beginning you can see they put a lot of more work into the game, with better Animations and the "Living World" that they created is why i liked monster hunter in the first place, seeing and figuring out how the different creatures manage to coexist or predate each other, the Combat is great, the Offset Attacks (Counter hit) and Perfect parry system they added greatly improved the Gameplay of the weapons,

AND HERE COMES THE BUT

for the sake of the Review i cannot in good nature recommend you this game Right now, there a lot of Optimization issues and Textures popping in and out. the current quality of the game shouldn't be like this for such a steep price, if you really want to buy this game, you're on the right track, but i suggest you wait until they update the game to be better and run smoother. i'll change my thumbs down to a thumbs up, but untill then, i cant reccomend you buy the game i'm afraid

unless you really want to, and dont mind some textures popping in and out, apart from the technical issues, the game is high quality, which is ironic that i say that while also lamenting the technical issues it has

a VERY very strategic, very Tactical, and unforgiving S.W.A.T Simulator, inspired from the old SWAT games.

this game has a pretty high level of polish when it comes to the main gameplay, your ally's AI is fine tuned so that clearing rooms with them is nice and viable, but most importantly, fun, on my hours of playing this game i've never really had a moment where i got mad at my AI Team for doing something stupid.

before you even get deployed tho, i can see the devs put a lot of effort into making it feel like you're being put in a dangerous situation, most missions has its own briefing audio, 911 calls, and even different varied map pictures, from detailed blueprints, to just some scribbles a dude drew on a piece of paper, it really gets you immersed in that feeling that, as highly geared as you are, in the end of it all, whether you're Ready or Not (ha), you're going in practically blind into a very dangerous place, and its your job to get your team, and the civilians out of it alive.

but on to the bad points, as polished as it is, i can see that there are some elements in the mission preparations that are missing or not implemented yet, and then sometimes the menu when you want to choose your teammates equipment bugs out, its a V 1.0 but i can see that there are some features that are missing, and i hope the devs continue building up on it in the future

janky game, but due to how unique it is. i would recommend it.
some points:
-performance is a bit heavy, i dont think the developers had enough time or budget to keep working on the game, and polish it.
-the story is small and the dialogue is awkward (though maybe thats just how Australians talk, crazy dudes) still nice, keeps you pointed in the right direction and progress.
-unique formula to the game, the paranormal investigation x tacticool combo is VERY cool, would love to see it get iterated futher, perhaps next time
-gameplay is valid, honestly its still fun, it is a little janky, but very playable and fun, animations are decent, Aiming takes a little bit to get used to, the character actually shoots and points their weapon at what the cursor is pointing at and not the general direction as i would have expected so you NEED to actually click the lil demons to not miss, (this however makes the animation feel good when you're clearing out rooms).
though there is room for improvement for the point of view as there are some places where i struggle a little bit, but that is to be expected.
the game is hard, hardcore even, dying is part of the fun.
overall, would recommend this game for people who are bored, maybe get it on sale if you're thinking twice about it.
its one of those little gems, not an outstandingly good gem, but a gem nonetheless. i look forward to more of these kind of games

Good game, its arcadey tarkov, much less hardcore. but dont get me wrong, it is by any stardards still a HARDCORE game.

the loop is, you drop into the planet with your gear, loot, extract, back in the base you craft for more gear and upgrade your housing with the materials looted, drop back in with better gear, repeat (or become full goblin and just do a knife run).

it'll scratch that itch for people who like to be a loot goblin but also sometimes wanna fight people too, for a free to play?, it is very acceptable for me, pay to win isnt too unfair either, its more "pay to get a little more convenience" one time only.
the tier 1 sniper and shotguns can still kill a purple geared guy within 2 or more shots, its a nice equalizer to have.

EDIT : got more hours in the game now
its very promising, much more arcade-y feeling shooter to it, right now i'm in the a low skill tier for players but i hear that in the higher "buckets" as the devs call it have a lot of cheaters, the devs have acknowledged this problem. i look forward to the newer developments in the future, after they handle the cheater situation that is. right now tho? i recommend you give it a try at least

in this game you are not a trained knight or a skilled swordsman or any of that.

you start off as the dumb son of a blacksmith, in the beginning you are a simple little village teen, your character doesnt know how to swing a sword properly, you try to fight a drunk elderly man and get beat up...by a man who can barely stand on his own, and you dont even know how to read.
10/10 i can relate to the character.

for real tho, early game is a fun struggle as this stupid idiot Henry fumbles around medieval Europe, but when you start to get your bearings you really feel like a badass.
combat system is mostly focused on 1v1, enemies can gang up on you, but the system doesnt really support that flow, but i like to pretend thats realistic, one (good christian) male with a short sword isnt gonna do well in a fight with 3 dudes swinging at him at the same time. no matter how much armor you put on.

wanna explore a medieval european setting in the brink of a war as a simple weak man?
want your character to go on a quest just to learn how to read?
this is the game for you

you play as a fleet commander who has no idea how radar systems and missiles work, so you launch a nuke at your own strike group approaching the Enemy fleet because you thought the nice nuclear missile would understand which giant metal behemoth is friendly, and not explode the first giant thing that it detects

its a good game, dont come in here expecting XCOM, its more of a turn based stealth game with some management mechanics.

its quite unique in a way that its focused on stealth, sure theres some things that makes the game slow, the missions get a bit repetitive sometimes, but considering its from a dev that you and i never heard of, and the fact that not a lot of others have done a concept like this before, the result turned out pretty good i look forward to more of this, hopefully with better polish and improving on its formula.

anyways yeah its pretty good, you get to command a team of international spies and make them work together to do covert missions in a turn based manner, gets repetitive, but quite a novel idea.

its a good roguelite with a good story fully voice acted in which the devs took bits and inspiration form the best aspects of their previous games and implemented them here, coupled with the art style which they have kept improving since Bastion makes a nice challenging and most importantly entertaining experience.
