Wholeheartedly can recommend the game now, with the new balancing almost every item has a genuine use case now. Once useless weapons feel more satisfying and beefier, particusrly sidearms and ARs. Hopefully in the new year they will have a new trailer for a medium sized update.

You remember LucasArts? Their early Star Wars games were a little too clunky for my taste. But when Republic Commando came out in 2005 I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole game had a darker, grittier atmosphere than other Star Wars games, and the squad command system really gave the military aspect a big boost. It has been compared to Rainbow Six: Vegas 1 & 2, but I think Republic Commando has far more likeable, memorable characters.
