I play a lot of games, a lot of shooters, and have never met a more clunky game. Its hard, cause I want to like the game, but not worth it. This is a shooter, and when the gamepolay is all a shooter usually has, and its this bad. It becomes a chore.

First: Sony has been my mainstay for decades. This year they have utterly destroyed my appreciation for them. First with the insane malpractice and malignant practices with Hellidivers 2. Bricking the game for numerous people and holding the community hostage. Then their takeover of From Software, taking away my favorite publisher and studio, who will most likely be gutted from the inside out. Fu Sony.

Helldivers is one of my favorite games i had for my Vita. and the sequel is one of my favorite games to sit back and relax to. Spending time killing bugs or bots, and feeling like my actions and time matters in a live service game feels good to me. Knowing other players and myself have common ground from the get go is another good feeling.

The gameplay is solid, the loop is fun and has enough variety to not get stale. The weapons are varied and are all viable enough to be fun to play anything, and be able to succeed.

The guns are so fun, which is what its all about.

There can be the rare toxic person who ruins the round, but moving on and playing with fun people make things alright.

Pick it up on sale if you are wanting to just have fun with explosive action.

As a soulborne masochist, this game scratches the itch that makes m want to set myself on firee and torture myself till i get it.

Another great from soft game with an expansive open world and some of the coolest enemy designs since bloodborne. With hands down the coolest boss fight with Mohg Lord of Blood.

So back in my day, there was a ps2 game called JAWS UNLEASHED. and it was good, for young adult me to play while sitting in the basement waiting for the world to get real. My favorite part was charging up the dash attack, then using it under water to turn the people swimming into paste.

FLASHFOWARD 15YEARS!(give or take a few)

Maneater is my wet dream for open world mindless games. It took all the nostalgia from Jaws Unleashed, into a perfect package of fun and obsurd ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Is this game worth $50 no, is it worth $20 to play around yes.

I got this game in my humble bundle. Downloaded it, and started playing it that night at 6pm. i was on the hard grind to 100% this game and level up asap. Breaking the game in the process because i was level 20 b4 i continued the story campaign and had all the fast travels unlocked. I heard some weird noise as i came close to finishing the campaign. with nearly 100% of the landmarks and collectables complete, thinking i broke my headphones i realized it was the coffee maker and i had sat down and played this game for 11 hours straight. For myself as an adult now, i have not done that in almost 6 years, so it was a great feeling to have one of those moments. This game is worth it just for the fun. (especially in a sea of MP only fps microtransaction grubbers) This game shines with a great single player experience.

ONE COMPLAINT IS THERE IS NO LOCK ON SYSTEM AND IT MAKES FOR REALLY DIFFICULT CAMERA CONTROL DURING ASS CLENCHING MOMENTS THAT MAKE THE GAME DIFFICULT VIA POOR CONTROLS AS OPPOSED TO actual difficulty

This game brings a new life to L4D2 and is just enough to keep me going, sadly being an adult i don't have as much time to play with friends, but when i can this game fits the bill, the bugs and issues are there, but i just look foward to the highjinx and approve.

This game has moments that shine from its older companions. But there is just something missing. Nothing will beat the first game. But it still is amazing. FK the epic games store and their timed exclusive bs.

3 main issues with the game now.

Stuttering that causes a ton of issues,some of those are HIT REG which will always get you killed. Rubber banding which will always get you killed. Errors loading in sections of the map. which YOU GUESSED IT will get you killed.

The hit reg is an issue that exists past the stuttering. You can have a registered hit that takes 2-3 seconds to then register the damage which will get you killed. Then the enemy will die.

The MMR or ranking system needs a ton of work. Honestly i would rather it not be there. If i die as a 4 star to a 2 star, no matter the circumstance i drop almost instantly to 3 stars. (out of 6) But if i kill 3, 3 stars in a match my score does not move an inch. Assists do not seem to count either for the mmr system. I had 4 games in a row with 12 kills on my team, 5 kills myself, and 3 assists. My score did not change, even though i had not died in any of the games. The first game i play the next day i die to a 3 star, and i dropped from 4-3. It makes no sense and its frustrating. This game over the last year has become just more frustrating. I still have fun at times, but the system makes it all the more a slog to hope to retain the mmr so you can have games with people who feel like they get the game. As opposed to the ones who get shot in the back constantly, or die in an open field due to no positioning.

Its still evolving, but if it continues i wont be recomending it as highly as i was.

Until i can prove that the backers got what they backed. And that the gameplay does not suffer from the heavy censor ship in the game, I have to currently review this as a strong do not buy. The devs, have lost near all trust of backers, and have failed until proven otherwise.
