Short Review: The story needs work, the final boss fight is WEAK, and it seems to scale enemies too low compared to the player later on, making the game easier than it should be, but I don't care... I love this game!

Long: Presentation wise I feel this is one of the best looking games around. Not so much graphically, even though it's no slouch and is fairly demanding on hardware, but it's more about the detail that went into the world to bring it to life. Everything seems to move; the trees in the wind, the grass, cloth, dust in the air. Everything makes it feel like it's all alive, which is a beautiful juxtaposition to the subject matter of the game. It really makes just running around and exploring entertaining.

The progression of the game feels extremely natural and satisfying. Starting out everything seems foreign (ignoring the fact that the game itself feels a LOT like Dead Island,) it's easy to get lost without the map, enemies are a bit scary, etc. But after a dozen hours into the game and you get bravier. After 50 and it feels like home. I love games that are able to do that and this does it in flying colors. I've already beat it, started a New Game Plus on Hard mode while also starting a fresh game to play with a friend, that is how much I love this game.

If you were a fan of Dead Island but wished it was more refined with a greater emphasis on movement with better combat than this should be a no-brainer for you.
