The only game ever to have made me reach levels of frustration that Tekken is able to elicit is Getting Over It, but at least I have no reason to play that game once it's done. Unfortunately you can't really complete this one.

The story is bonkers, but fun.

Tekken Ball is.

I don't like fighting games but Tekken has kept me interested for almost 800 hours as of writing this and I think that alone speaks volumes.

The game itself isn't bad at all, although I will be honest it does already feel somewhat same-y after 10 hours even though there is plenty of stuff I have not done yet.

That said I won't bother with any pros or cons because I will never recommend a game that cannot be played SOLO because of it being always online. For almost all of the launch day and most of the second day I could not play at all. Thankfully they at the very least removed Denuvo before launch because who knows how bad the launch would have been had that been added on top of this online-only ♥♥♥♥.

The game is a good base for the future, but perhaps not worth 40e. Add on top the server problems that stop you from playing completely and it is 100% a game that I would not recommend until weeks or months from now if things improve.

These are the most active developers I've ever seen. This is the first time in any game where I feel like I'm seeing something new every time I launch the game because the developers are pushing new updates nearly every day and they're not just meaningless bug fixes either. It feels like new spells, perks and enemies are getting updated at LEAST every week and that honestly blows my mind.

Not to mention these updates are still happening when the game has already come out of early access.

There is so much content and fun to be had in this game and it's constantly growing and for that reason I could never not recommend this game with good conscience. It's also not an easy game for better or for worse.

Also there's good workshop support if the content already in the game wasn't enough somehow.

And it is worth mentioning that I am extremely biased for these developers because they are also Finnish :) I am kidding slightly but seriously. Get this game if you like roguelikes, playing with physics and ridiculously overpowered combinations of spells and perks... Sometimes.

Took me about 50 hours to 100% the game (last 5 or so were spent grinding for fulminated mercury and xp for the last achievements I needed).

I never personally liked the souls games. I played about 12 hours of dark souls 3 and stopped playing because it didn't feel satisfying. I didn't even quit it because I couldn't beat a boss I just didn't like the gameplay. Because of that I had my doubts I would like this game since it's by From Software and I thought the gameplay was similar to Dark Souls. It took me a while to give it a try but I did. It pretty much became my favorite game in a LONG time after a couple of hours played. The combat is *extremely* satisfying and that was enough to hook me.

Contrary to what some "games journalists" have been saying, the boss designs in this game are usually really REALLY good. I personally didn't even get frustrated on most bosses because they were designed well enough that I knew I could beat them by learning. Every death I got closer to beating them and eventually I did. It never really felt like I don't know what to do against a boss and they were still really challenging somehow. The only ones I really didn't like were the headless ♥♥♥♥♥ because you need confetti and their attacks have weird ass animations that make them hard to deflect, failing to deflect raises your terror meter into the skies so that's another thing you need to be on the lookout for. Not to mention the mist that makes it hard to move...

Also the bulls. ♥♥♥♥ the bulls.

Other than that the game was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing. I will definitely be taking a look at future FromSoft games. I thought I would never say that because I didn't like any of the souls games.

I'd like to start off by saying that the game is actually very good gameplay and mechanics wise. So if you can get past the P2P networking, constant error messages and a very, VERY whiny community, buy it.

But unfortunately the matchmaking along with many other multiplayer related problems make it not worth it (as it stands) in my personal opinion. I seem to be in a very small minority of people who the game refused to even start for which lead to me refunding it promptly, but it's worth mentioning that there is a chance that this may happen. Apparent cause was that the game needs to be installed on my C: drive which, for me, is impossible because windows takes most of that space and I don't have 30 gigs to spare even if I wanted to, and I sure as hell am not going to buy a new SSD just for a game.

I may buy this in the future, because I REALLY enjoyed my time in both the betas when or if (big if) most of these problems get fixed, but until then, I'll hold off on it.

I also left many subjective things out of this review (microtransactions for example) because I personally don't care about them and don't see them as a problem. But as with all premium titles I understand if people dislike it when companies put microtransactions into a 60€ game as a quick moneygrab, I just don't mind it unless it hurts the game and gameplay. Microtransactions are always bad in a paid game but I can't be arsed to care if it doesn't affect me directly. I would never pay money to skip the grinding in any game though, which is exactly what microtransactions do in this game. It is NOT pay to win unlike many reviews seem to point out. That's not how gear works in this game. In addition to that, gear stats are turned off in 2v2s and 1v1s which is where the game shines the most, once again, in my opinion.

Early Access Review
I may or may not have played this on a... non-steam version for 500 - 600 hours. Bought it on Steam because the devs seem to be the best of their kind when it comes to knowing what they're doing and engaging with the community and in many other ways. This game has so much more content and replayability than almost any triple A title out there and is 20€. It deserves my money for both reasons, because the game is amazing and the devs are amazing.

Also I have now played it for 31 hours in a couple days... Again.

So I put about 230 hours into the game. It was really fun for quite a while when it first came out! Playing it with friends and getting through hard(ish) heists without alerting anyone was always satisfying.
BUT there's no way in hell I could recommend this game anymore when basically 80% of the game can't be played because OVERKILL seems to idolize EAs business model. This game practically gets an "update" about once or twice each month that isn't really an update but instead you get downloadable content that you have to pay for in order to play it.
I haven't played during all this jazz about weapon rebalancing and some kind of powerups or whateverthe♥♥♥♥ the other reviews are talking about to improve your guns to a not-sucky level so I don't really know what that's about but still, what the ♥♥♥♥ Overkill?

This used to be a game I would ALWAYS recommend to anyone new to Steam or new to PC gaming who wanted to try some fun co-op games. Nowadays I wouldn't recommend it to ANYONE unless you have spare money laying around you can throw at OVERKILLl. One could argue that "you don't need to buy any DLC, the game is fun without them anyway". Yes, it is fun without them but when other people are running around with medieval swords and RPGs in fancy customized cool (or fugly) looking masks, it leaves you wanting more from the game. It leaves you wanting stuff that SHOULD BE IN THE GAME FOR FREE ANYWAY. OVERKILLl was a good company once, now I just want a refund to spend all that money my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ self sank into the game to buy a game from a company that actually respects its customers. Overkill isn't on that list anymore.
