Just recently picked this game back up again and I gotta say I really have been enjoying it.

It's not much different than I remember when I initially purchased it, there is however, a lot of added dlc. Killers, Survivors, maps etc. While it is disappointing that these new features of the game are hidden behind a pay wall, I have not spent a dime on the DLC in this game and have still been having a blast.

You still get to play on DLC maps and you still get to interact with DLC Killers and survivors although those killers and survivors will be unplayable by you.

It's simple, yet addictive gameplay, that with time you realize can have a little more skill involved. It can be rather intense it really all depends on the skill level of the killer and your team mates. Everyone plays the game slightly differently so it adds a subtle unpredictability which is great.

Initially playing as the killer was frustrating as it seems impossible to catch up with survivors. My advice: be patient and wait for them to make a mistake or rather, leave the situation and find another person to chase.

Graphically the game is beautiful, yet still simple enough for most average gaming rigs to be able to run the game smoothly at high settings.

I remember when I first started playing this game, there were some bugs that had to be resolved. I am very delighted to say that those bugs have all been squashed. We are left with a game full of atmosphere, with its incredible sound design, and for the most part good levels, there are a few maps that one may play and find very frustrating due to the multi-level labyrinth that it is. Honestly, this is probably more of a skill issue on my part.

Overall:

Gameplay - Simple, yet addictive with plenty of variety with different characters, maps, etc.

Sound design - Brilliant!

Graphics - Unique and easy on the eyes and on your computer

Optimization - Great no issues for me and for reference I am running a RX 5600 xt, its not CPU intensive. This was not true for the initial release of this game so I am very glad to see the issues got worked out.

Level design - Mostly good stuff with just the aforementioned few maps that are a total maze.

This game is a solid 8/10

My main point of contention, as with most new games these days is the DLC however, buying this game with no DLC at all will most certainly not ruin your experience as I have played nearly 90 hours without it.

Give it a try, it is definitely worth your time!

My favorite game on Steam. A very nostalgic feel. Highly recommend.

Servers are hardly ever working for me, and I've had a lot of problems with optimizing this game. I can only recommend this game to people that are willing to spend lots of time, and possibly money to try and figure out how to fix the game. Which could be worth it considering the circumstances, but in my opinion, it isn't.

-Starts a game with a surprise me airdrop
-Gets S.W.A.T airdrop
-Recycles every single thing hoping to get the S.W.A.T airdrop
-I get enough F.U.N.C to get the airdrop
-I relentlessly try to find a pad.
-I finally find it.
-I collect the airdrop and hold my SMG with confidence.
-I collect enough F.U.N.C to unlock a package.
-I get a survival spear
-Things are looking up for me.
-I might actually win.
-10 minutes remaining and the map starts to close.
-There are only 4 players left
-8 minutes remaning and there are 3 players remaining.
-6 minutes and it just the two of us.
-I have all the confidence in the world
-He starts shooting blowdarts with extreme precision.
-I vomit multiple times.
-He finally comes closer to me
-He takes out his chainsaw
-I take out my gun.
-I shoot him point blank
-All the shots miss.
-Im out of bullets.
-Take out my survival spear
-Then he just one shots me with a chainsaw I went from 60 health to 5
-I muster all my strength
-I take a stab at him
-I miss
-He chainsaws me one final time
-I'm dead
-I rage and hit my desk
-I message my friend telling him this game is ♥♥♥♥ and I will never play it again
-I continue to play it

Very boring, not enough content. Also it wasn't optimized all that well either. The antialiasing was very bad along with the rendering. Do not get this game. I got a refund and bought The Culling.

This game was very fun! I have played this game for over 30 hours and I have finished the story 100% percent! This game did have some small issues but not game breaking! The only problems I have were that the game should be able to run at higher settings but I had to settle at the lowest settings because it became very unstable, but the game looked great and after a while you get so entertained by the story that you hardly think about it. The only thing that bothered me was the antialiasing. In some areas of the game everything looked extremely edgy I tried turning up my antialiasing but once again it made the game unstable but I only noticed this one time and once I got out of that area I didn't notice it as much. So thats enough about how the game runs. The story was very good but it wasn't as good as arkham city but it was better than arkham origins I mean my god... that game was a piece of ♥♥♥♥. I didn't like the arkham knight side of the story very much with the militia and tanks I liked the parts that involved Harley Quinn. That's all im gonna say about that because I don't wanna spoil the game. The identity of the Arkham Knight was very obvious a couple of hours into the game and I really hoped it would've been someone else. On the Scarecrow side of things. I really didn't understand. Scarecrow did so much work and it really didn't make whether he did it or not. (Trying not to spoil it so sorry if i'm not being clear) The thing that sets this game apart from the other arkham games is that it makes you feel like you are the Batman! The combat was improved and it made it so much more smooth. The gliding was also improved. You can upgrade you grapnel accelerator so that you guy go as high as the skyline of the city and you can glide under bridges and then back up. Now the last thing i'm gonna talk about is the batmobile. I might be the only one that says this but I really don't think the batmobile was overused in this game. The batmobile was a very cool addition to the game that really made you feel like the Batman. Switching from higher ground to the streets of Gotham was amazing. You might say that there was too many tank battles in the game but remember you obviously defeat the militia forces and when that happens it practically makes the batmobile usless. You have nothing else to fight except street thugs and that gets kind boring very quickly the only way you can fight the militia after you finish the story is in the AR challenges but its not the same. So overall I would give the story of this game a 8/10 and I would give the performance of the game 7.2/10 but don't buy the game here buy it on {LINK REMOVED}G2A.com its $15

This game is one of the best survival games I have ever played! So far I have had no problems with the optimization and it is always being updated. The graphics are amazing and CO-OP is a gamebreaking addition to the game.

The best thing about this game was how the insurgents kept screaming allahu akbar.


11/10 would allahu akbar again!
