i don't know how but seeing monkeys with cartoon proportions throw darts at balloons that range from rubber, ceramic and metal (how do they fly), to literal warheads is quite entertaining.

cave exploring is fun until you step on a button that releases like 6 boulders

A great team-based "classic" fps made by the counter strike team in 2004.

Ah, the the old times, the fun times.

Played it in its "early" years on a nonsteam version and had a lot of fun with it. I mostly stayed on death match servers and was decent at it, not the best but still got some kills. The game got updates and improvements which made the experience a lot more better. But now its abonded because of moneymaking cs:go.

The game is still a lot of fun but not a lot of players play it nowadays.

Pros:
*A lot of fun gamemodes (like surf, jailbreak, zombies, death match and etc)
*Nostalgia
*Mods and customisation (yes mods)
*No micro transactions (I'm looking at you CS:GO)

Cons:
*Requires high skill (it ain't overwatch ma man)
*Requires good internet connection (playing with bots isn't that fun)

Why can't the "old" 2006-2008s come back?

The 2005 classic, the masterpeace that continued the half-life franchise.
Pros:
*has an amazing OST
*has a lot of fps action
*puzzles
*a good engine (for its time)
*great plot and story

Cons:
*outdated graphs (this game is 9 years old, ofcourse this would happen)
*no half-life 3

Played it,Liked it, loved it.

Upsides:
+it's free!
+there are loads of community-run servers, which provide (almost) limitless fun ways to enjoy the game;
*surprisingly, its dev team. even after 11 years they still try to update the game with passion and effort. maybe not always, but who can blame them nvm;
(?)+hats!

Downsides:
-it's based on a really, REALLY outdated engine (though its customisable, unlike some engine nowadays, sadly);
-it can get stale at times;
-the potted plant ceased it's role as a dev.


Notes:
Through this game i've met a lot of good people and much of my friends. At times when i was down i always knew that i can hop on one of my favourite servers and get a bit better.
Even if i spent countless hours on it, im still glad i did.
