% hours in and I am having a lot of fun. Feel like an Action RPG wrapped in a survival sandbox. Crossing the desert in those first few areas worried about a sand worm was intense and when I saw my first worm shoot out of the dunes I was totally sucked in. Really looking forward to what FunCom has ahead for us on their roadmap.

Matchmaking isn't balanced. Higher level players with high tier load-outs can queue into Easy Lobbies designed for new players and farm noobies. Game is only in BETA and almost every match I played I ran into a cheater. Dont recommend.

As excited as I was to play this game being a fan of the originals, I am so bummed at the state that this game was released in.

I had to skip the opening cut scene due to it was freezing every other frame. Game crashed several times during the prologue due to Low Level Fatal Errors which I was able to fix by downloading a MOD from Nexus (>_>). Never mind talking to NPCs in town where the game struggles to run at all.

I usually can run most games on high settings in 1440p but I cant get around these performance issues with this game. I have an Ryzen 7 7800X3D with a RTX 3070Ti running 32Gbs of DDR5. I spent several hours troubleshooting my PC trying to run this game to no avail and now I cant get a refund because I'm over Steam 2 hour return requirement.

I wish I had more feedback to give but I haven't been able to get this game to run at a playable rate to experience any of the other issues people are mentioning in their reviews. I hate to say it but this Stalker doesn't recommend this game at launch. :(

With GSC being located in Ukraine I cant imagine some of the hell these developers had to go through while making this game, but It seems like it has become the norm to release a AAA titles before they are ready. I really hope the Devs can patch these performance issues quickly. I'm still waiting to experience what awaits me in the Zone.

Early Access Review
Id like to start this review by saying this game has some serious potential. The concept behind this game is solid. The 90s dystopian sci-fi / anime feel of this game is spot on. The level design is pretty cool (Elephant Mausoleum) though some levels need some love (Ashen Mesa). The UI and the AI needs polish. Sometimes the AI does what I feel they should be doing and when it does its awesome! But other times the AI will get bunched up in one spot and stand around. It can be frustrating when I'm at the top of my stealth game and the AI spawns right on top of you causing the death of your character.

Regardless of some of the growing pains I mentioned, I feel its about average on what to expect from an Early Access title.
However I'm sure there are those out there that ignore that fact and are giving it negative reviews so buyer beware! If you're one to nit pick about bugs then wait until this game is further developed or until its released. If minor issues don't bother you then check this game out. I'm hopeful that the Dev team continues to improve the game for there is lots of room for improvement.

I've had my eye on this one for awhile and finally decided to pick it up since it was on sale. I figured since it was in Early Access there would be some growing pains but I didn't expect it to perform as poorly as it does on my machine (Ryzen 7 3700X/GTX3070Ti). I spent a half hour trying to tinker with my settings in an attempt to improve it visuals and performance without much luck. The lower I set the settings the worse it looked. Its because of its lack of optimization, I wouldn't recommend picking this title up yet. I hope this game is greatly improved upon by the time its release. The concept is pretty neat and the game has the potential to be great once they flush out its development. Wait this one out until its out of Early Access.

Happy to say that I've only bought this game once. I have no interest the newer re-releases nor do I believe Bethesda should profit for Creation Club content. Id rather support the modding communities hard work directly through Nexusmods.com. If there's a mod pack you are especially fond of be sure to show your support through the modder's Pateron account... if available.

I wouldn't recommend buying this game in its current state.
Not sure why the retail copy is having so many issues when the Demo ran perfectly fine making me feel mislead. Issues with multiplayer losing connection, unable to play with family on console because cross-play still hasn't been fixed by developer. Multiple performance issues and the game crashes constantly. Despite all of these issues I tried to hang tight and wait for SquareEnix to smooth out the issues. That is, until my character save ended up becoming corrupt causing me to lose all of my progress and start over. Dev Support still hasn't resolved the issue and it also happened to a friend of mine who had progressed further than I had. he too has uninstalled this game. Buyer beware, this game is currently not worth your money or your time. Literally.

They got rid of the rogue-like features that were in the first one so it doesn't feel like so much of a grind. Instead they added more in depth story missions with RPG elements and progression. I like the improved controls and the space combat feels more fluid. Looking forward to what they will add during Early Access. Im having a lot of fun with it so far!

Id like to see the developer stop releasing season passes every three months and just fix some of the core issues with the game. Issues such as improving the in game anti-cheat software to help prevent hackers from running rampant as they do in this game. By improving server latency and optimize matchmaking, prevent new bugs that seem to come up after they push out patches to fix the current bugs and most of all improve the horrible hit-box detection that's been bad since the game launched. This game has A TON of potential and I want so bad for the game to be improved upon, but it really says something when the Mobile version of the game is better optimized than the PC version. - Until then, I'm still waiting to return to PUBG.
