Don't know how I haven't reviewed this game yet. If you like fast paced musical reaction games, buy this (DDR, Guitar Hero, Beat Saber).

Explore a beautiful new world, study the magnificent creatures that live there, and cut them down for a new hat for your cat. Welcome to Monter Hunter World.

Honestly I love this game, I did play the PS4 version, but figured, why not pick up the PC one as well? The game is exactly the same of course, with a few differences that are good and bad. I quickly plugged in my controller because I was just used to that, but go with whatever style suits you. With fourteen different weapon types to choose from and a ton of armor and ability options, it's hard to say not to go with what suits a person personally. Enjoy the hunts, and don't worry if you can't take down a more difficult monster. A few failed missions, and you will learn a lot more than taking one down in a sinlge go. Have fun, don't stagger your friends, and good luck hunters.

Pros:

  • Hunt dinosaurs. Okay, they aren't dinosaurs.
  • Beautiful music, but there's no better feeling that hunting a Tobi Kodachi to Thunderstruck.
  • Scenery that takes your breath away. Just don't stare too long, or you'll get carted.
  • Always evolving challenges that you can tackle at your own personal pace.
  • 60 FPS. Nuff said.
  • Hunt with friends.

Cons:

  • Right now it seems multiplayer is having connectivity issues. This was fixed.
  • Mouse & Keyboard vs. Controller decision.
  • Not constantly the same smoothness. Check out Teostra's lair fight.
  • Lower end CPUs are suffering from the resource hogging the game does.
  • Hunt with friends.

TLDR: An amazing game with a thriving community, active devs, and beautiful scenery/gameplay.

Ride your music, challenge your friends, kick some ass.

Nominated for the "Mom's Spaghetti Award".

Pros:

  • Fast paced.
  • Amazing soundtrack (unless you have bad taste in music).
  • Good challenges.
  • Great to challenge friends in.
  • Ninja Mono Stealth.
  • Palms are sweaty.
  • Knees weak.
  • Arms are heavy.

Cons:

  • Vegas mode.
  • Mouse vs. Keyboard vs. Controller decision.
  • Vomit not yet on my sweater.

An amazing game that is only $10, pick it up ESPECIALLY if it is on sale this winter.

Welcome to Metro Conflict: The Origin. Kill and be killed.

I decided to give this game a try during the beta phase and I must say, it did not disappoint. Keep in mind I normally don't play a whole lot of first person shooter games, but I have tried the Call of Duty WWII, Starwars Battlefront 2.2, and Metro Conflict the Origin recently. This one would have to be the best (subjectively) out of the three.

This game is a futuristic shooter that has different game modes to play as well as a roster of characters and weapons, giving each match a very unique feel. While not as fast as games like Quake, the pacing keeps you on your toes and encourages tactics as well as team play far more than most FPS games. Having a hard time rushing an objective? Get an Igor to tank while your team gives cover. Enemies are holed in well on one spot? Get a Lopez to bombard the area.

Pros:
  • Multiple graphic settings for maximum support.
  • Overall map design is relatively open, encouraging movement versus camping, but not so open it becomes a sniper-fest.
  • Beautiful scenery as well as gun and character models on max settings.
  • Music does not get in the way of gameplay.
  • Nice recoil physics.
  • Easy to navigate and understand menu.
  • No ten foot standard jumps.
  • No kill streak perks other than pure numbers and end game drops.

Cons:
  • Getting shot makes aiming a trial.
  • Enemy steps can be heard from miles away if you aren't moving.
  • Currently takes a while to find matches in NA.
  • Grenades are a tad underwhelming.
  • Trish's guns.

I highly enjoy this game, but do intend to log more hours into it, and may change a few things in this list as they are changed by the devs. Now to go back in and keep getting myself shot.

A Simple And Calm Ragetriggering Game

So this was on sale pretty recently so I decided to pick it up and see how it was.

Pros:
  • It was like 0.99 USD when I got it.
  • You don't need an amazing computer to run this game.
  • The overall design of the game was simplistic, forcing the player to focus on gameplay.
  • Despite the simple appearance, the game is actually challenging.
  • The music is actually pretty damn good.
  • There is nothing more satisfying than finally beating a level you've died 10+ times to.

Cons:
  • Vibrant contrast can strain eyes after some time.
  • You are limited in the speed of which you can jump/fire your mouse, so many levels demand nothing short of perfection.
  • Some inputs feels a bit sticky, but this is likely due to the second point.
  • Can be rage-triggering if you try to beat the game in one go.
  • Levels 65+

Overall I enjoyed the game to a great degree and highly recommend it. It's great for something to play in your spare time, since it doesn't demand a 10 hour grind or anything like that. Amazing soundtrack.

I haven't gotten to play with the synthesizer much yet, but loved the puzzles because I had no idea what I was doing for quite some time. Wish there was more of a story however, as such a beautiful environment as this one demands it.

Recommended for anyone who loves puzzle games, and as a bonus, the music lovers get a synthesizer.

The music is great though, and the final puzzle was even better once you realized that the entire map was a synth.

I like playing solo before diving into Multiplayer, and this game really doesn't have that option fleshed out like a story mode or whatnot. Instead you get dumped on a server without a tutorial, die a few times, and figure things out.

Yes I get it's a survival game, and yes I get I can "just Google", but it seems too simple. It's a game about surviving and dinosaurs, which I like, yet has no premise or cohesive story.

Multiplayer is kinda fun, but it really doesn't encourage interaction with other players besides via the 'Tribe' system. Basically guilds. I despise Guilds for the simple reason that it cripples solo players.

I would try to refund, but have logged too many hours in that first trial night. Back to Subnautica for now. Hope the story finds this game.

Light side, Dark side... These things matter little when you are trying to become the strongest one man army in the galaxy.

Play as a new student (Jaden) to the Jedi Academy on Yavin and learn the ways of the force (and how many ways one can kill Rosh). Be nice, be mean, it doesn't matter anyways since you can always make multiple save points. This game was amazing in my childhood, but got even better once I discovered the world of JKA modding.

Get a sword, activate blood and dismemberment, play Medieval in the Starwars universe. Ride a Rancor. Use realistic guns. BE Kyle. Jump over skyscrapers. Fly. Whatever you want.

Nominated for the "Test of Time Award" since I can always come back to this game and have fun each and every time.

This game is a port of the great DS game of the same name. It is fun to play, and can get your blodd running when you are stressed... on the DS.

The PC version is currently awful, as it requires many updates to get the controls working better on the PC, as well as a way to kill movement lags. Once that happens, there will be positive reviews... but until then, I must... Uninstall.
