Best Dragon Ball game and best anime game to ever come out.
Absolute GOTY, Tenkaichi 4 is finally a reality!

Graphics look great, the characters, animations and effects all look spectacular. The devs also listened to demo feedback and changed a couple things including the beam clash camera (it no longer spins like in the demo, dimension break doesn't always happen, etc).

Stage selection is alright. There's lighting variety but only 12 stages. Classic and iconic stages such as Kame House and Kami's Lookout are missing. We also don't have the Destroyers' tournament arena, which is weird because it's one of the selectable tournaments in the Tournament gamemode. What is here however, is very well built and very entertaining to play in.

Game modes are pretty much what you already had from previous Tenkaichi/Sparking entries. You have custom battle, story mode and tournament. Customization is pretty much the same as Tenkaichi 2/3, where you can choose different outfits, equip certain items on certain characters and z-items to buff them up.

Tournament mode is by far the most barebones, featuring only 3 fights where your health carries over. The usual Tenka'ichi Budōkai tournament (Worlds Martial Arts) you can tell it was a last minute addition because it's incredibly easy to ring out, even by accident.

What steals the spotlight in the game is the Story/Episode mode. As usual, you get to play through the Dragon Ball Z/Super story. Taking a page from the Tenkaichi 3 book, however, is the inclusion of What-If scenarios in the story mode. It's actually mind boggling the amount of What-Ifs you get, making the story mode a rather fun experience for those of us beyond sick of playing through the DBZ storyline.

Gameplay-wise it plays almost the same as Tenkaichi 3. The game has lots of depth when it comes to reactive movement, but the bread n butter of Tenkaichi combat is missing some functions. Directional heavy attacks are gone and the game seems to struggle a bit with dropped inputs, making fast hitting characters actually harder to play than their slower counterparts, thanks to said dropped inputs making combo'ing with them harder.

Damage has also been turned up to 11 in this game, meaning most characters' healthbars cannot really keep up and some fights tend to end in literal seconds. Certain characters' Sparking ultimate will take away 2 health bars (and that's with no z-items), and other characters like Gogeta Blue, can chain specials together alongside their heavy combo, deleting any 3 healthbar or lower character in moments.

Still a very fun game, I was so hyped for it and I love it a lot

**UPDATE**
After giving the game a 10th try, I've come to realize the steering isn't as bad as I first thought.

Driving in hood camera or 3rd person makes the handling quite intuitive and what you'd expect from a truck, as weird as that sounds.

The problem is that from said cameras, you cannot interact with the truck's functions, as that requires you to be in cockpit view.
The main issue with cockpit view is how incredibly low the driver's seat is, meaning a large portion of your view is blocked by your truck's hood, which in turn makes you instinctively angle the ship downwards to get a better view of all the obstacles around you.

The massive hood blocking your vision also means you feel like a child sitting on a truck's driver seat, and as a lot of your view is blocked by the hood, you are not given enough visual feedback when making turns, which in turn exarcebates the feeling of ice skating.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
------------------------------
Interesting idea but steering is absolutely garbage. It controls like you'd expect a road semi to control in an icy road.
There's no strafing so you basically gotta do truck maneuvering but in a space environment.

The truck is slow to both ascend and descend and drifts more than a drift car at moderate speeds. Not only that, but the cockpit is way too low even though the cabin itself is quite tall, meaning half your view is blocked by the truck's hood.

It controls like the worst space flight game I've ever played, which is a monumental task to achieve considering space sim controls have been figured out for over 20 years by now.

Par for the course in this decade, every interesting game always comes with a giant 'BUT...' at the end, as developers cheap out on QA and playtesters more and more. Welcome to 2020's gaming.

**Update**
After playing the game for longer and seeing some of the update, I've come to realize this game is really just doomed to fail. What fun aspects there are of it are held back by frustrating jank, lag and lack of QoL updates.

Nearly 30 HOURS in and I still haven't unlocked the CHEAPEST rifle. All this time playing with a nailgun and a pistol. PvP in this game is extremely gear reliant and mercs are extremely spongy, which means guns with higher firerate (SMGs, Rifles) will ALWAYS win trades. Headshots are also pretty useless.

The alien has been buffed but all it did was highlight the issues with the design. The class is simply unfun to play, both as with and against. It is absolutely powerless against a full team, and absolutely frustrating if you're solo. If you manage to win a trade or kill a squad as a solo, congratulations, all your efforts are about to be undone by a low cooldown griefer with nothing to lose.

That's the best description you can give the alien class; a griefer. It has nothing to gain by killing you, it has nothing to lose by dying to you. It brings nothing to the match, it is simply spawned in to grief mercs out of their loot and gear.

**Original Review**
Another "unique" extraction shooter. The horror aspects of the game are rather entertaining, making for some tense moments as you're forced to fumble around in darkness so you don't give your position away to other players.

Sound design is interesting, but 15 minutes in and you realize most of the sound effects are just random background noise and not indicative of player/enemy actions. It will also make you deaf with a very loud bass sound whenever the facility's power turns on or off. Seriously, I had to turn on audio equalization or risk going deaf.

Gameplay is about what you'd expect; you go in naked, grab random stuff and try to get out, where you're then booted back to the main menu with an inventory full of junk items, which you can use to practice economy with extra steps.
Back on the trading screen, you'll enjoy the riveting gameplay of selling and exchanging useless crap through 6 different menus so you can then buy the gear you ACTUALLY want in the same 6 different menus.

Crafting coming soon of course, because it wouldn't be 2020's gaming without crafting.

The game's main differential however, comes from allowing you to play as, or against, an extraterrestrial c*ckold that dies to, quite literally, flashlights. Seriously, it's not even a joke, even in the official stream on the store page you can see the dev backpedalling and killing an alien like that.

In my first couple games I couldn't understand why the alien wasn't butchering me as soon as I was spotted, going as far as me literally going back and forth between 2 rooms while waiting for the extraction elevator and then promptly extracting in front of them.
Once I decided to finally play as the alien, however, I was then introduced to mechanics that are better described as a virtual crash course in chastity cages, voyeurism and blueballing.

Everything about the alien sucks, it's intimidating at first as you're given this admittedly cool looking monster with 10 different abilities, but it takes you one match to realize all of them suck including your basic attack. The whole experience as an alien is jank and unintuitive, and feels more like an afterthought than a gameplay feature.

Interesting setting but generic extraction shooter. 90% of your gameplay will be using the starter nailgun you get for free everytime, which aims, plays, sounds and feels like garbage to use. No joke, it's such an underwhelming weapon to use, both visually and auditively, that it makes me wonder if it's a placeholder.

This game needs a serious redesign in multiple areas before it becomes good. As of right now, it's just another extraction shooter of the week that you only found out about because Steam decided to recommend it to you.

**Update**
Performance is still crap but they fixed a lot of the issues with everything else. Fun game.

Ragdoll fest that gets worse with every new enemy type they add that ragdolls you indefinitely.

Spam of uninteractive armored enemies whom you either;
A- Delete straight away so you don't have to interact with them.
B- Ignore and run away from them every 5 seconds so you don't have to interact with them.

Performance that gets worse with every update, bugs that plague the game since launch and are STILL unfixed.

Large repertoir of weapons that are unusable at higher difficulties.

Developers who stream themselves barely able to beat their own game at Difficulty 5 (out of 10).

Simple fun game whose name sounds like a fake mobile game, no real bs just straight up gameplay.

The graphics are gorgeous and vibrant, the gameplay is simple and the guns are stupidly addictive to shoot. I'm very glad stealth is optional and the game doesn't punish you for going loud, because shooting in this game is half the fun. Every weapon feels and sounds heavy and powerful, with the LMGs in particular feeling incredibly overpowered and fun.

The single player campaign is a roguelite, where you grow your criminal empire through missions and events of your choosing, where characters and their weapons, bought with your hard earned crime money, can be lost in a permadeath system. In theory it sounds bad, but in practice it's actually quite fun (and very forgiving, mind you, as characters can be rezzed indefinitely in a mission) once you realize the whole thing is meant to be replayed over and over, and the lack of permanence is its biggest feature.

I know lots of negative reviews complain about the system but in my experience it's actually quite fun, with how chaotic and hectic the missions can get once you go loud, it truly makes you fight for every inch in the hardest difficulties, where you'll often question yourself if it's worth going back in for another bag or two of loot, or risk more characters and your haul trying to save another character from death.

Adding to the system is the main character and boss, Travis, who gives you a 50% bonus on all the loot you get in a mission, with the drawback being that if he dies during a mission the whole run is over and you start from scratch.
You'll win and lose many characters and money throughout the course of your criminal empire, and at the end of the session you'll be left feeling like no matter what, you did things your own way, even if you bit off more than you could chew then clawed out of a bad situation or died trying, losing the whole run.

The multiplayer mode has a f-ton of gamemodes and absolutely 0 drawbacks for losing, so it's really fun to mess around with too, but in my opinion the singleplayer and it's permadeath system are the highlight of the game.

Magic man made magic tool to download more FPS!!!

Frame Generation is amazing even for my 3080ti, it's absolutely perfect for single player / co-op games where you won't feel the slight input delay, where I can now play them at 244FPS, the same rate as my monitor.

Absolutely recommended, specially for slower paced games or virtual chatrooms.

Was surprised to see this on Steam, as every time I tried to play it as a DOS game it'd crash on first mission.

The Steam release works okay, alt tabbing basically breaks the game and so does multiple monitor setups, so I have to turn mine off before I play. There's also no mouse sensitivity adjustment, which you will have to do through your mouse software as the game downscales your resolution therefore making your default sensitivity feel higher than it really is

With that said, the game is still just as fun as I remember. I only ever owned the KKND Xtreme demo when I was little, so it was nice to be able to finally play the full game 2 decades later, certainly brings back many memories of me bumrushing the mecha bunker.

It's a very simple game, the AI cheats much like the demo and the difficulty slider is merely a setting that changes how often the AI will target you in multi team games. The game has no individual unit control, big units often deal lots of splash damage both to enemies and allies and vehicles often murder hordes of footsoldiers by merely running them over. A single monster truck can end a whole squad of high tier footsmen in a second by driving over those poor sods.

Bunkers are by far the coolest feature in the game; little nuclear buildings the player (or AI) can activate for rewards. Sometimes you get oil, the game's only currency, and sometimes you get super overpowered, unique units that shred through multiple enemies. It's brainless fun, just the way I remember it.

Set Dragon's Dogma 2 process priority to High.
Then ingame set Shadows to Mid.
Everything else you can keep on High/Max.

These 2 changes bumped my FPS up into High 80s FPS on my 3080Ti. Setting Shadows to Low instead puts me in Low 100s FPS.

I noticed there was something seriously wrong with my game everytime too many Beastren NPCs were around (my character included), turns out the game just handles shadows on these individuals' fur effect really poorly.

Extremely janky combat. Interesting setting and attention to detail but the combat feels like I'm fighting the controls. I guess it has its audience and I'm definitely not it.

Fun game, I slowly grew more and more addicted to it, ended up spending 120 dollars worth of cosmetics in the week I managed to play, as I wanted to support the devs.

All of that went down the drain because I got randomly banned 2 weeks in.

Update: My ban was lifted, thank you Embark.
