What i thought would be a incredibly flawed survival game, turns out to probably be my most played game this year. hopefully the grind continues to be rewarding and fun. I

It has honestly surprised me. What i thought would be a time burner for a day or two. Turned out to be one of the most enjoyable experiences i've had with mmo's in months. It's amazing seeing people run around, asking for help, recieving help.

The combat was meh at the start, I had a lot of downtime between abilities, but once leveled and looking through the skills, it feels very fluid and fun to me.

The world itself is beautiful. I love the fact that they\re staggering some content releases here and there. Like field bosses. archbosses. It makes it so there's stuff to look forward to in the upcoming days. it keeps the hype train going for me, that's for sure.


Love the game so far as a lvl 30. Hoping the end-game can get me hooked for a while!

Due to it's nature, archeage has a lot of multiboxers, in my eye, a subscription just helps with that, no doubt we'll see a lot less multiboxers when the free month is over

Really liking it overall.

The game is basicly a simplified version of the Exile Mod for Arma 3.
It has
-Traders
-SafeZones
-Storage
-Currency System
-AI Missions
-Events
-Party System
-Roaming AI

While this sounds all pretty great, and it actually is. You can't deny the fact that there are some flaws.

The world itself isn't that great, there are barely any POI's and Towns exist of 5 building or less.
The current size of the map is also quite small for the 50 player slots most server support.
The audio is somewhat lackluster, a shotgun blast doesn't sound as powerful as you think. There is barely any ambient sound, no birds, no wind.

The performance is quite solid for me, which is a huge plus in these kinds of games.
The crafting takes too long, takes like 30 seconds to craft a bag in a menu u can't escape from.

I hope they make the world more lively and interesting, focus on the current vision. let the community know what's going on.

And it might have a small but dedicated playerbase, if they handle this well.

After a long while they're finally adding all the features and more with one big update coming tomorrow. land vehicles, Atm's, better basebuilding, more server admin options, bigger pois,....

My friends and i used to talk about coming back to the game when the land vehicles were implemented. it took them 4 whole years, but i'm still excited nonetheless,

Hopefully they increase the development/update speed, as this update has been teased with WIP pics since March or so.

It's actually..... REALLY GOOD
