A great game that had me hooked from the first (failed) try! Fast, fun, but a little too easy once you get used to things.

I would not recommend this game. As a standlone INDIE tactical space strategy it might have worked, if not all the bugs. But as a continuation of the Sid Meier's title line it doesnt. There is prectically no tie-in with BE, as was promised, the affinities are meaningless and provide very little diversity, there are no unique fleet options and even the leader choice offers extremely little variety. The UI offers too much basic info and very little in depth data where it is needed. Victory conditions are modelled in a very weird way, I ended up getting the Wonder victory by accident many a time when trying other options.
It is not worth the asking price, which clearly is based on the "Sid Meier's" being a part of the title.

Also bugs. Many bugs.
