The game is... okay. It's not bad, but overstays its welcome.

The environment work is the biggest positive, but the puzzles and general distance between everything is lackluster.

In my experience the game is wholly 'okay' largely just being a 6.5/10, with 5 being average.

It could have been better if so much of the content side wasn't put behind extra puzzles in areas where I'd be hounded by the Heli-pill guys, along with the incredibly short-feeling downtime you can gain from downing a Hawk, by just trying to figure out what the puzzle even was. Truthfully, I would have better enjoyed the open world if it played similar to Far Cry 5, where you can liberate areas on a map, allowing you to freely explore without annoyances. But that's a very noobish opinion.

A very charming but too short of a game.

I can't understate how great this game was, but I feel there would be more story to tell and just want more.

Destiny 2... ♥♥♥♥ dude, this aint it.

The game itself has good gunplay, but I cannot in any good conscience recommend it, from actively damaging their own company with flaws tactics to taking away content with sometimes little notice.

As a whole, D2 is a good game, but in an effort to prevent new players from feeling the revolving cycle of disappointment, boredom, grief, happiness, repeat, large in part to how Bungie operates the game, stay away from this game.

So after my initial post about this game in the discussions I made the decision to actually play it and inform myself on its gameplay loop, and while I didn't play much I could already tell my opinion was met and deflated.

So in my discussion post I mentioned Anthem, yep it has some elements of that in art direction and 'junior game dev's first game' feel with some senior polish. And the 2nd was a comparison of gunplay and gameplay to PSO2:NGS. and once again I was right.

I wanted to be proven wrong, I really did, but everything about it just disappointed me from each angle.

It really disappoints me that 'booty shooters' is both the content and marketing strategy of NEXON for this game. Were it any other publisher, I feel this could have been something better.

So the game is good, but I am mightily confused as to why I have all of a sudden lost access to it on my account.

EDIT: DEMOCRACY PREVAILS! SONY HAS RESCINDED THEIR THREAT! FOR LIBERTYYYYY

Helldivers is a good game, a great game! Arrowhead are awesome developers! But something people are blind to are the contracts the heads for Arrowhead signed. Sony as a publisher isn't that different from any other Publisher, they make demands you are expected to meet as part of a contract, and if you do not meet those demands then you are on the hook to repay a percentage of the funding they provided.

Under any other circumstance I would have given this game a recommendation, and likely still will with the stipulation of you'd need a PSN account, but it doesn't change the fact of Sony is trying to force players into their ecosystem. Purely on principles I give this game a not recommended rating, despite its fun pub-like gameplay, and entirely due to Sony pressuring people into their ecosystem.

Building's clunky, Ai fighting and movement is clunky, the whole thing reeks of asset flip and asset store, and believe me, I'd know that, I went to college for GameDev and every big assignment was told 'use the UE store if its not affecting the focus of the project' to just look good on resumes and the such.

That's what this feels to me, freshman gamedev barely getting a C rating on their homework, and it shows.

But y'know what, ♥♥♥♥ nintendo either way. Hopefully this gets them to finally innovate with pokemon again so people don't get excited over 'pokemon with guns' so much, even if most of the hype is being driven by streamers.

Watch the game die out in a month.

Remember, turning the safeties off on the airlocks allows for occasional loss of ship weigh, ensuring faster ship speed!

Warning: Side effects include a weird yelling noise. No idea where its coming from though.

This ain't your grandma's Rain, it's Risky. So Risky in fact it'll make your granny cry!

Seriously though, the returnal of RoR1 with this new coat of pain is perfect. If you loved the old one, this is everything and thensome, sporting new items, ACTUAL ONLINE CO-OP, and contains the same type of difficulty from the original.

If you are coming from RoR2, then run on drizzle, learn everything, then bump up to the normal difficulty. Believe me, without the verticality of RoR2, RoRR and 1 are going to BEAT YOUR AYSS.

GL Survivors, and praise be to Gup!

It's Neos in all things for UI and the like, so if you know how to do things in Neos, or did (Rest in piss), then you'll have no issue in Resonite. Gud Game... just wish the hosting was easier and not as laggy... then again, it is p2p
