I would describe Witcher 3, with a small quest (spoiler free) among 400 odd quests.

There is a side quest called the cursed chapel. Simple treasure hunt. You go into a dungeon, kill a wraith at the entrance, and kill three wraiths inside. Then you find the loot and a note on deadbody of a man.

There, to those who read the note, it describes a woman who killed her children for spoiling her beauty and was killed by her husband for the same. The wraiths represent the family and the dead man represents sorrowful note of the husband commiting suicide. This is the level of detail that went in making Witcher 3.

A small note on a corpse in a dungeon, in Witcher 3, has better story than many AAA games. Witcher 3 is a Masterpiece, today, tomorrow and on that Friday evening, you come tired from work.
