There were no clear emotions in me, only greed and, it seems, boundless disgust. I possessed all the properties of a human being - flesh, blood, skin, hair - but the destruction of my personality went so far that the ability for ordinary compassion disappeared - I deliberately slowly destroyed it. I was just a fake, a crude copy of a human being, only a small part of my brain was functioning. Somthing terrible was happening, but i could not understand what exactly and why it was happening.
