My previous review was removed, but it went something like this:
Official servers were plagued with mixed dino groups going murder hobo on every single player they see. Impossible to play with other unless you're friends with them, which made the game very cliche-y and everyone is extremely unfriendly. A lot of the admins were on power trips and abused their power regularly.

I refunded this game for those reasons.

I would like to see more players at a table, or even multiple tables in one room, so you can see and hear the chaos that's happening as you play your game too.

Nevertheless, good game. Great fun with friends. I look forward to what else is yet to come on the horizon!

dead game

I have 47 hours on Epic Games.
I completed the main story as Jacob. No DLCs or additional content.

I first wish to say thank you to Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver for seeing this project through to the end. I am a huge fan of Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide and for 14 years I was dreaming and hoping that the game would one day be available.

The environmental storytelling is phenomenal, and the world design has a great deal of attention to detail put into it. Killing zombies is very satisfying and the FLESH system is impressive. The fact that such a beautifully crafted game came out despite all the hurdles it faced, is truly a gift. Thank you, sincerely, to all who worked on this project and dedicated their time to deliver the best they could given the circumstances. I love this game so much, and while it takes a slightly different tone than the original game, it still finds a way to immerse me deep into the world.

Even when ignoring the additional gratitude and points given for surviving the many trials and tribulations faced, Dead Island 2 is still a good game. They could've never bothered and scrapped it long ago, or released something in a poor state (a standard for game releases these days), but no, what was provided was a genuine and honest release of Dead Island 2 and not some kind of cash grab to just get it over and done with.

I look forward to playing this game through on Steam (Epic Games lost my save and I hate Epic Games) and trying out the DLCs SoLA and Haus.

Thank you, Sokpop Collective, for continuing to develop and support this game. I know when I first bought and tried the game that it was unlikely that it would ever be updated with new content, (Sokpop develop and publish one game every month), but I'm so glad they returned to this game and decided to develop it further. Now, I have developed a love for this card game management genre, but Stacklands still remains #1.

Oh boy, here I go into New Game plus!

Day's Gone: story/writing is a little thin in places and a little 'meh' but the world and game play is amazing. Extremely well executed concept that runs brilliantly. Such a rare gem of a game.
