It is the first Guilty Gear fighting game that uses cel-shaded 3D animations instead of sprites; as such, the characters undergo some changes in design. Daisuke Ishiwatari confirmed that the characters, effects, and backgrounds are all rendered in full 3D.

This generation of fun, high-action component,
but lacking puzzle and terror factor, in addition to repeating many enemies Ada articles,
seems to be hard to scrape together before the supplement three out of the story
