I'm not giving this DLC a downvote because, despite my gripes, it still adds some 'serviceable' content to a game I enjoy immensely. I'm about two hours in, and I'm already tired of the endless purple scenery. Surprisingly, I miss the space sections of the game. When the DLC began on a haunted space station, I was thrilled. But now, running errands on a dull planet surface feels lackluster.

I love the base game, but I expected more from Shattered Space. I thought we'd get new gear and new parts for our ships. While the added customization options like tattoos and new poses for photo mode are nice, I expected a bit more 'bang for my buck.'

Lastly, the abundance of journals left behind by the entire population of this planet is excessive, and why are they just lying out in the open?

I have to admit, I was initially surprised and a bit disappointed when I saw that the building boundaries hadn't expanded much since the demo. I thought the available land wouldn't be sufficient for my grand plans. However, I soon realized the clue was in the name—Tiny Glade. Reluctantly, I began constructing my castle at the northern edge of the map, perched atop a mountain with winding stairs descending from it. From there, I created a village centered around a small lake with a tree in its middle. I separated the southern part of the map with a long wall and built a bridge leading into the village. Before I knew it, two hours had flown by. I thoroughly enjoyed Tiny Glade. Don’t let the limited building space deter you—there's plenty of charm and creativity to be found within its confines.

As a late '80s and early '90s kid, I vividly remember my first encounter with DOOM. It was on my dad's PC, which didn’t even have a color monitor. That's right, I played the shareware version of DOOM in black and white, and I loved every minute of it. Over my 41 years, there have been certain games that felt like milestones. Looking back, I felt it with Baldur's Gate 3, Halo, Half-Life, and of course, DOOM. While Wolfenstein might be considered the grandfather of the First Person Shooter genre, DOOM felt like the moment when the technology truly showcased its potential. It was as if the game said, "We have the technology, now let’s show you what we can really do with it."

I was part of a generation of gamers captivated by DOOM, and I’m thrilled to say that this remaster captures everything that made the original great. Now, instead of playing on a 15-inch black and white monitor, I’m enjoying the game in glorious color, at 60fps, with a remixed soundtrack that hypes me up at the start of every level.

Thanks, ID Software, for bringing back those incredible memories in such an epic way.

With the amount of Overwhelmingly positive reviews this doesn't really feel necessary but i'll throw in my two cents regardless. This game was an utter delight from beginning to end, so refreshingly different to games we've seen in recent years. The animation was so good and nostalgic, it made me think of the old beano comics I used to read as a kid. The humour is very very silly, British and at times very clever. The voice acting is wonderful. I really hope Coal Supper continue to create games of this calibre in the future.

I bought this game purely on the basis of having watched the trailer for 'Mixtape' and being in awe of its style and music. I was flawed by how beautiful this game is, wondering around Calypso in the beginning I just kept taking my time, often retreading my steps just enjoying the backdrop and characters, then the game goes off the rails and I was happy to go along for the ride. Being a rock fan I very much enjoy the soundtrack and I like the guitar mini games although admittedly I tend to mess a lot of them up, much to the dismay of onlookers. I'm nearly 3 hours in and I cant wait to see where this goes.

I played Gone Home upon release way back when and having just replayed it for the first time in years I'm still blown away by how much the game accomplishes. The beautiful story that is woven through out the game and how it slowly unravels at the player's leisure as you explore this really enchanting, if not slightly unrealistic house. Set in the 90s the house itself acts as a sort of nostalgic time capsule, a place of grunge cassette tapes, vhs tapes with x files episodes recorded on them and more. Being a 90s kid myself I really got a kick out of the familiarity. The voice acting of Sam was perfectly cast, her voice actor has a gentle thoughtful demeanour which helps you sympathise greatly with what she is going through. A truly wonderful game and I'm glad I revisited.

I have to say as someone who doesn't really enjoy visual novel type games, I absolutely loved the time i had with this. I really enjoyed the stylistic way it was developed with the visual novel 2D characters against a perfectly realised 3D backdrop, you get the sense that the company had the ability to make the game a full 3D experience if they wanted to, but that wasn't what they were going for and honestly I'd really enjoy seeing more games done this way. It felt like a Detroit: Become Human type game but done in the style of a visual novel. Artistic style aside, I really enjoyed the story and the characters, each character felt fully developed and very complex which helped when making the many choices that you're presented with for our lead characters. The story was captivating, I really liked the jumps back and forth through time, a real great way to deliver the story. I really hope we get a Book 3 some day. Bravo Interior Night.

What more can be said about this extraordinary game that hasn't already been expressed? Having played it twice on PS5 before transitioning to the PC version, I'm delighted to report that it's superbly optimized for both platforms. If I were to sum up Baldur's Gate 3 in a single word, it would be 'Refreshing'. It excels in every aspect of game development. The characters are richly layered with personality, and the storyline is so captivating that even on my third playthrough, every cut scene feels as enthralling as the first time. The replayability is remarkable; each class offers new avenues to explore. Describing it to a friend, I likened it to a fusion of Dragon Age Origins and Dungeons & Dragons – a comparison that, while apt, still doesn't fully capture the game's depth. For newcomers, there's a learning curve, but once you've mastered it, the game truly unfolds its wonders. A perfect score of 10/10 across the board. Kudos to Larian Studios for this masterpiece.

Everything I enjoyed about the first game only with a next gen coat of paint and a poor chap who's bleeding from the ears as your lackey. Gotta be honest I'm not sure if I started playing in a bad mood but when I first started I rage quit because I was thirsty and hungry and you're not really lead by the hand with regard to how to resource gather. The first game was similar of course but you were surrounded by luggage to help you get through those early days. When I started again the following day I took my time, explored, found other camps, made a hut, a fire, a bed, a rain catcher, my helper gathers sticks and rocks and that old addiction is setting in nicely.

I remember where I was when I first read about Half Life, it was 1998 and I was 14 years old. At the time I was in highschool but on a work experience placement. I remember going to the cafeteria on my lunch break and seeing that someone had left a PC Gamer magazine on one of the tables. Having no respect for other people's things I sat down and started to read. I remember the game being marketed as this next 'big thing', the next DOOM so to speak and by the time my lunch break was over I was very excited.

A few days later a buddy of mine gave me a copy of Half Life: Uplink, a sorta shareware demo that showed off the game's engine and mechanics. Its hard to describe the feeling as I played. I had never experienced anything like this before, the excitement, the astonishment... I called my dad in for him to have a play and after about 10 minutes I couldn't get my computer back!

In those days, my family didn't have a whole lot of disposable income and I knew for a fact that if i'd asked for Half Life the answer would be straight up NO so I decided to bide my time for a few months, and ask my parents for Half Life when my Birthday was approaching.

Days went by and I couldn't get that Half Life: Uplink demo out of my mind. I must have spent many classes in school just dreaming about getting to play Half Life, much to my teacher's annoyance.

Then one day I got home from school, hung up my coat, dumped my school bag and ran upstairs to my bedroom. As I entered I noticed an orange and black box sitting on my desk. My jaw dropped... It was Half Life. I don't think in all my 40 years that I have ever experienced an excitement on such a scale... I think I was almost hyperventilating as I ran downstairs shouting "I GOT HALF LIFE". I walked into the kitchen where my parents were sitting drinking tea, dad had this huge grin on his face.

"Will you hurry up and install it so I can play!" he said.

What proceeded was one of the best weeks of gaming that I've ever experienced. Me and my dad playing Half Life all week. There have been many games over the years that have come close to recapturing that feeling but nothing ever as strong as what I experienced with Half Life.
